The team at The Mulberry are looking forward to a busy summer season and marking their 12th birthday this autumn. The family owned, much loved business has become a Thetford institution over the years, it’s been the place to celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and all manner of special occasions. The menu is British with a Mediterranean twist, using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. An evening at The Mulberry offers relaxed fine dining that is intimate yet welcoming with first class service from Karen Connor and her team.
With 45 covers, there is plenty of space for corporate or group bookings. Karen said, “It’s been lovely to welcome the wedding and celebration dinners back alongside our regulars. We had so much support from the local community during the height of the covid pandemic, it kept us going through some difficult times. We’re now pleased to be welcoming back familiar faces along with new customers.” Karen hasn’t forgotten the help they received, and when a regular customer asked if there was any work available for the 17year old Ukrainian, that they had sponsored recently; she didn’t hesitate to help. “He’s here with his mum and sister and is super nice but is really keen to go back and finish his studies. We’re just pleased we were able to help” she explained.
The brand new menu launched on June 14th, includes dishes such as Blackened King Prawns To book a table from with watermelon, feta, Tuesday to Saturday pea shoots and sweet please call Karen on onion, plus Herb Butter Dishes from the new summer menu at 01842 824122. Roast Norfolk Chicken The Mulberry with crushed potatoes, roasted onions, new season asparagus and chestnut mushrooms. There’s always fresh fish of the moment from the Lowestoft fleet, a good steak and vegetarian offer.
