Health care services and products has become a big industry in many industrialized and developing nations. This has led to more discussions on health care and preventative and maintenace strategies for health and well-being. There are many things we have learned in school growing up like diet and the four food groups to the need for regular exercise a couple of times a week. Here are a few health tips you may not have heard that I have learned through reading, talking to others familiar with health products who have a healthy lifestyle, and practicing in my own life:
¡0 Look for a good multivitamin to supplement your diet and look for a powder that mixes into a liquid or a liquid vitamin that has mostly vitamin and mineral contents vs. "fillers" like added sugar, etc. What I have found is that a powder that mixes with water into a liquid or a healthly liquid supplement is absorbed much faster than capsules. Capsules take hours to absorb and only a small percentage is finally absorbed by your body. The supplement I use, for example, is absorbed within 30 minutes of drinking.
¡1 Find a well-trained and knowledgable chiropractor to get regular adjustments for spinal health. Chiropractic care has it's foundation in the concept from science that the body is a self-healing organism and that the nervous system is the force behind this and many activities in the human body. The spinal cord is encased in 24 vertebrae for its
protection. A group of nerves branch out between adjacent vertebrae so when vertebrae are misaligned and the space between the vertebrae is lessened, nerve impulses cannot reach their highest function and the processes in the body suffer. A chiropractor realignes vertabrae to assist the body to reach it's highest potential and also relieve back pain.
¡2 Although getting your annual blood panels and physical from your MD is important, these tests alone do not reveal important problems in your body that could be starting like plaque in your arteries for example. There are private but reputable businesses that use preventative tests like ultrasound to detect plaque buildup in the arteries before something like a stroke occurs. Some also due bone density tests are other preventative tests for a reasonable fee.
¡3 By brushing your teeth too hard you can loose gum tissue that will not grow back. In addition to brushing 2 minutes twice a day, flossing once a day, and using mouthwash for 60 seconds a day, how you hold your toothbrush can make the difference between saving your gums and loosing them. If you are struggling with brushing too hard and especially for the front side of your teeth, my dental hygeinists would recommend holding your toothbrush like you would hold a pencil so that you will not apply too much pressure on your toothbrush resulting in brushing away precious gum tissue.
