To help me have a clear understandment of the brief, I decided to start of by researching into what myself and others believe what a conversation actually means. So what is a conversation? A conversation is a form of interactive communicationbetween one or multiple people. It occurs in a spoken communication or a written exchange, which is not normally referred to as a conversation. Conversational skills and etiquette is an important part of socialization. The development of conversational skills in a new language is a requent focus of language teaching and learning. A conversation can be shown in many different ways and forms. Talking, sign language, drawing, braille and even through art. I am going to make a mindmap with every thought in my head that relates with a conversation, to help me further understand other ways it can be represented.

After readin back over the briefs requirements. I started to think about what the most important conversation is today. For the future. What I want my final outcome to speak to and most importantly, what the message is. Thers always been one thing to me that has been a big impact on my life. anorexia. But what has been the main course to this? what has made people feel this way? I’ve always blammed the fashion indutry and media today, with the super skinny, size 0 models. Found today on the most known and best selling fashion magazines today. Vogue, Elle, Frankie. It is one thing I have felt so strongly about. i think this will be a great way of expressing my feelings against this by a use of posters, gifs or even my campaign. I will look into a few artist that have inspired my ideas and help me develop onwards.
Reearching for hours at end, I finally came across an artist that really spoke out to me. Although the artist is unknown, I found this artist really shone out to my idea on what I want my finaly outcome on anorexia. The stress shown through the explosion coming out of the womans head has a great impact. It expresses the stress and depression people deal with ona day to day basis. This is something I want my final outcome to be inspird by. I want my piece to show the stress and dissapoinment through the fashion industrys models today.
My next artist, again caught my eye. Although this piece is a completely opposite to my idea. I found the way the face has come away from the head with flowers coming out really interesting. I thought I could play around with this and create a distressed woman. However, I would still like to recreate this my own way and see what i can produce.
Barbara Gruger
Barabara Gruger. One of my favourite artist. This is deffinatly an artist that inspires me. The artist almost mocks the tragedies that are happening today. The pieces are seen quite harsh but speak the truth. The colours are very vibrant, this helps stand out to people. I will redesign my own of these because it is a well known artist. I want my pieces to be regignised and remembered. i think through the style of this artist I eill overcome that. I will next tak about my 3 concept ideas. Although I already have a clear idea on what I want to produce. I will recreate different examples I can present my final idea, picking the best outcome.
Bringing concept 1 forward To start off with, I decided to draw up a simple face of a woman inspired by different photos online of famous models etc. I then brought it forward on illustrator, editing and adjusting shading to make the model seem disstressed. I would like to carry forward this woman throughtoout my work, as my aim is to aim it at young kids and woman who are effected by this illness. I would like to create a simple but effective poster or gift that will really speak out to people.
Inspired by my first artist, my aim was to make this piece stand out as uch as possible. Adding colour and text to the illustration, I thought this piece is quite as effective piece. However, I feel it is not enough to get the word out ther about this illness. Iedited this on illustrator. Using the text tool, adding words linked to anorexia. It’s quite a strong pieve to take in but i want th audience to be blown back by the message through the piece I finally decide to bring forward. I will carry on with my development using the last artist.
Inspired by , I really love this piece, its vibrant and bold and really stands out. However, this image doesnt link with my message. I thought that maybe the face would look distressed enough to make it look as if its beauty within that counts. I dont feel this message stands out as well as I thought it would. However, I still like the idea, I just want the audience to see the final piece and be really blown back by it.
Next development Inspired by Barbara Gruger. I think this piece worked the best. It stands out the most from all the rest. The message is clear and is simler to the artist, which is known by everyone so I believe this piece will be talked about by others. The piece isn’t as striking as I thought but I would like to bring this artist forward with my piece and see what I can produce.
Bringing farward the artists style and my own ideas. I redesigned the illustrations creating 3 different faces. Starting off with a healthy sad woman, to slowly looking ill and happy. I thought this would be a really effective idea, showing how models today would die to look so skinny, and that they think it’s represented as beauty. To do so, I went round my first illustration in illustrator, dublicating it 3 times making the woman look more ill.
As i mentioned in the brief, I wnted to great a GIF. The reason i want to create a GIF is because they can now be sent on Facebook. Facebook is the most popular social media today, with thousands of people using daily. It will be most seen and regignised. However, I started off by bringing forward the illustrationd I previously made. I over lapped the images and move each image on the time line next to each other, keeping each at 2 second long each. So it looks as if the woman is slowly smiling but getting ill. To make the animation look fashionable, I added a flash effect, as if people are taking photos of her, making her feel the need to lose more and more weight due to the fashion industries needs. I did this by adding a flare flash effect. i started by adding a simple solid black shape, covering the whole of the image, then added the effect. Next, I adjusted the brightness and blended the flash into the shape. Adding keyframes, I then moved along the time line activating the flash every 3 seconds.
After effects
Next, I then added text to the animation. Making the text look as if the womans making herself sick. I chose the words anorexia, weight and diet because they represent the problems through the illness that people suffer. to create this, I created different layers for each text, moving them one after another on the timeline. I next added an anchor point, changng the position. I also changed the opacity at the begining, so the text doesnt just appear out of no where, again for this i added anchor points and changed the opacity before it moves. So far I am happy with the result.

Final Outcome for my anorexia campaign inspired by Barbara Grugen
Creating a GIF Once I finished my animation, I created a GIF on photoshop, so the GIF can be opened on the web. I sent my GIF to a few friends and straight away they got the Barabara Gruger and mentioned above their friend!
My final outcome conclusion The briefs requirements were to create somwthing that makes a conversation, something with a message behind. I belive I have explored these key points. The style i have chosen is is eye catching and remembered by a very well known artist. I believe the animation is quite a strong piece, this really gets the message out there to people as the illness is a serious matter today.
