Recently, I had the honor of having dinner with “The Dirty Dozen”. This is the original group of 12 that started operations July 2013 in Midland. It was nostalgic to reflect on the stories of old and how far we have come since. I typically take great pains not to use my position as a pulpit for things religious or political, however, I have to make note of the parallel between the “Dirty Dozen” and the original 12 disciples of Jesus in the Bible.
WE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO OUR ENTIRE COVENANT FAMILY.
WE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND A VERY HOLIDAYS ARE THE BEST MERRYTHE CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TIMES FORCOVENANT MANY ANDFAMILY. THE TOOF OUR ENTIRE HARDEST OF TIMES FOR OTHERS. REMEMBER OUR COVENANT CHAPLAINS ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP YOU THROUGH THE HARD TIMES.
Both groups were comprised of individuals that were recruited, not from roles of high places or ivy league pedigree, but from the trenches where the real work is done. Both groups have as much heart as they have character and would do anything for their fellow brother regardless of cost to themselves. The end in mind was simply to be part of something that was bigger than self and honored to take part in the journey without consideration of reward. Both were accomplished beyond what they could have ever imagined with a legacy too large to measure. This is the quintessence of servanthood and the bedrock on which Covenant was founded. As we have now been in operations for five years, it is a good time to reflect on how far we have come. The journey was not easy and not always successful. We have gained lifelong friendships, had intoxicating successes, and stunning setbacks. Some have moved on as life is full of seasons and none are permanent. Others are doing the same job they began in while some have chosen to take on more responsibility as we have grown. Regardless of your role at Covenant, I can say that with great confidence, you are working for one of the best companies you could ever work for. This is because we have great people with deep character who labor daily shoulder to shoulder because it is what people like you do. The result has been staggering in that we have accomplished great successes from an investment and business perspective. Most importantly, we have grown in wisdom, perspective and purpose. The things I have learned from you are too numerous to list.
E-MAIL US AT: COVENANTCARES@CTEST.COM OR CALL/TEXT 832.910.8115 FOR HELP
As we move into the holidays, I think and pray about you and your families often. I am moved by you and humbled to serve you as one of your leaders.
With Highest Regard,
JOHN M. Cavitt CEO/President

• C O M MU NI T Y H E R O E S • Earlier this year, Christopher “Country” Mosley and Jacob “Woods” Howell from our Southern Division team in North Louisiana participated in a volunteer firefighter training exercise that took a nearly tragic turn. A large pane of a broken window fell on Woods’ arm creating a deep laceration that cut deeply through muscle, nerve and even into an artery. As soon as it happened, Country jumped into action. His quick response in providing first aid until the paramedics arrived helped saved his life. He provided aid in stopping the loss of blood, explained the injury precisely during the 911 call, and helped to get the right 1st responders on site. Woods has made a great recovery from the accident and is still in therapy working toward regaining total use of his arm. His manager had to make him take time off to recover, because he wanted to get right back to work. We are grateful for both of these men for their service to the community, to each other, and to the values that are the essence of our company.

-- PERMIAN PERMIAN PSA PSA -In October, the Permian started conducting HSE safety meetings in various locations (Midland, Pecos, and Carlsbad), as opposed to a bi-monthly call, to keep field personnel informed about policy changes, safety updates, incident reviews, and safe operating procedures. They also set aside the last portion of the meeting as an open forum for feedback. Two times a month, they conducted two meetings at each location; one at 2:00 PM and one at 7:00 PM to allow for each shift to have an opportunity to attend. If someone misses the first round of meetings, they can always attend the second. This has proven to be a good avenue to disseminate information, roll out Brother’s Keeper, and get feedback. HSE MANAGER Tom Woodruff spearheaded the effort, coordinated with local establishments, and drove home THE safety message. Permian’s efforts helped push Covenant to its highest completion rate of the monthly Safety Topic. They also lead all Regions in Brother’s Keeper completionS at 87%!

Before December 31st rolls around, it’s important to pay attention to certain details regarding your taxes. Spend a few minutes now double checking your account in ADP (online or mobile app) and you will save yourself mountains of headaches come tax season in April. 1. Make sure your mailing address and social security number are correct. W-2’s and 1095-C’s will be mailed to the address on file and list your SSN as it appears in ADP. How? On the mobile app: go to Dashboard > Myself > Tax . You can update both from within the W-4 update process. 2. Review your Year-To-Date information and update W-4 withholdings.
There’s more to this group than crunching numbers! CFO Christian Bell and Controller Kirby Lawson were surprised and celebrated by their team on Bosses Day. This team works overtime to make sure pay days and receivables happen. Thank you all for all your hard work!
