covenant family
Our goal is to not have anyone get hurt or damage the environment. Sounds simple and to the point but to continually strive to meet the goal takes commitment, learning and leadership. Commitment is accepting the challenge of being a safety leader to control risks and hazards. One example is to always use a specific Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) such as a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Learning is attending safety meetings to broaden your knowledge on various safety subjects such as Defensive Driving. One of the most dangerous parts of our jobs is driving to and from a job location. Leadership is taking what we have learned and putting it into practice and encouraging others to do the same. Stop Work Authority is a great way to show leadership. All Covenant employees have the authority to shut down an operation if you feel it is unsafe. “Take it to the House is when I knew many years ago I was committed to fostering a safe working environment by changing the work habits around the house for myself and my family members. No more weed-eating without safety glasses, no more standing on a chair but using a ladder. Safety is just as important in the home as it is in the work place. Thanks for all you do each and every day to build a great Covenant safety culture. Best regards,
