“I am encouraging the good people of New South Wales and Australia to come to the Northern Beaches!” Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Dan Tehan said the Coalition Government was working with the tourism sector on a post-JobKeeper plan. “Since becoming Minister in December, I have been in regular contact with all levels of the tourism sector. We are listening to them and collecting data
to inform our decision on what happens post-JobKeeper. “The advertising blitz will help drive Australians to book domestic holidays and give our tourism industry a much-needed boost. It’s part of Tourism Australia’s ‘Holiday Here This Year’ campaign for 2021.
“Our tourism industry is so important because it supports more than 666,000 local jobs and every dollar spent on an Australian holiday this year will help our tourism sector. “When you do book your holiday this year, go to one of the Northern Beaches local travel agents to help support them because they’re also doing it tough due to COVID-19.” •
