It’s the Mounties’ latest evolution in the journey towards providing an intergenerational approach to club design, bringing short and long-term benefits for members and guests as well as the local community. Mounties Group CEO, Dale Hunt, said the move was the obvious next step for Australia’s foremost club group and that they are incredibly excited to show it to the public. “Last year we asked our members what they wanted from Mounties Group in the future, and of those who took part, one in three said that they would love to have a place that was more suited to entertaining their children and grandchildren,” he said. “They wanted something that transcended what is currently offered in the club industry, and something their children would be genuinely excited to visit. With that, Major Fun was born, and we are very confident that we have delivered on this request and then some.
“Our new play centre has been built with the sole purpose of bringing families together and, hopefully, offering the most exciting play area in the region.
“It will be a place for kids to play, share new experiences, and create memories with their parents, grandparents and siblings, and enjoy a learning experience unlike any other. “We enlisted the help of the team behind Tabatinga Play Centres, so we are confident in the high level of safety and quality these centres will have,” he concluded. ‘Major Fun Freshwater’ will reflect its beachside positioning with an incredible underwater theme – one that will have kids’ imaginations running wild about our oceans and the animals that live within them. The venue has a strong educational component all guided by cute characters - Max & Mala, the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate explorers who are the face of Major Fun. Max & Mala are experienced adventurers who impart their knowledge through fun facts and information and believe “it’s never too early to explore the world!”
