7th Day Brewery is one of Brookvale’s independent craft breweries. With the beautiful marriage of 7th Day Brewery’s craft beers and neighbouring restaurant, Sale Pepe’s authentic Italian pizzas, the brewery not only makes for a great place to dine in from Wednesday to Sunday, but it also creates a pumping atmosphere with weekly live music and trivia. Post Covid-19 lockdown, 7th Day has announced an exciting new beer garden situated right out the front of the venue and Sale Pepe, creating a shared space for friends, family and the family dog.
Founded on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in 2011, Dad & Dave’s Brewing is an independently owned and operated family business. Yes - the whole family - Dad, Dave, Mum, Jess, Scott and James. Dad (John) and Dave are qualifi ed brewers who are passionate in making approachable and session able craft beer, and have decades of experience in the hospitality industry between them. They focus on using the traditional ingredients of malt, hops, water and yeast, and then combine these with some innovative ingredients and brewing techniques to live up to our motto – “We make beer, delicious beer!”

Bucketty’s is the place you take friends when you want to remember what fun used to feel like. They’re more than just a brewery, they’re a meeting place for local artists to perform, foodies to indulge in the area’s biggest food truck run by local favourites Dope Fusion and for beer nerds to savour the freshness and creativity of their locally made brews from their 13 taps. Open till midnight Friday and Saturday, it’s a perfect fi rst and last stop on any Brookie brewery crawl.

This award-winning distillery is a must stop off point on a Brookie Tour. The venue serves up some of the fi nest cocktails on the Beaches from a long list of gins, vodkas, whiskies and cocktail mixes. If it’s the ultimate gin experience you’re after, come along with your friends and family and learn the art of distilling by joining the Gin School class. You’ll walk home with your very own bottle of gin. Or, if it’s cocktails you love, sign up for a cocktail Masterclass where you will learn mix and then drink your cocktail creations. It’s an afternoon you’ll never forget.

Bringing you steel slinging fun with a mix of fi nely tuned beats. This indoor axe throwing venue caters for small and large group sessions. Their double elimination tournament, run by their AXE-ceptionally talented axe coaches is great for Christmas Parties, Birthday Parties, Bucks and Hens. They also run ‘Date Night’, ‘Two for Tuesday’ and smaller group sessions. The games begin once everyone is coached through a quick safety induction and everyone is feeling confi dent to play. All you need to bring is your team, some bants and Kiss My Axe will supply the rest.

The Mexican Burger Bar of Brookie. Serving up breakfast with it’s very own Beaches Coffee Brew from 7am to 11am. From 11am to 2pm it’s the secret lunch spot for the best Mexican Burritos, Nachos, Loaded Fries and Tacos. If you’re a burger lover, you must try the Texan Gun Slinger with signature BK salt on your fries. There are also salads, fresh juices, killer smoothies and rockstar shakes. Launching again this Summer on Friday and Saturday night, is Margaritas and Mexican Street Food nights. Nestled next door to one of Brookie’s destination Brewers - 7th Day Brewery, Sale Pepe sits among the best Italian restaurants on the Beaches. Well known for their traditional Italian wood fi red pizza and fresh pasta, the team have found a great balance between local and Italian imported ingredients. Try their half metre pizza – the Sale Pepe – full of fl avour with pancetta, gorgonzola, red onion and chili and Prosciutto di San Daniele, fresh rocket, cherry tomatoes and fresh Italian buffalo cheese. It’s one of the best pizzas you’ll ever taste.

They’ve recently opened up their second cafe in Brookvale and are proud to be serving more of what you know and love. They make everything from their delicious gluten free brownies to their famous sausage rolls. Open Monday to Saturday with either dine in or take away options, they promise you won’t be disappointed.
SEADRIFT DISTILLERY
Sydney’s only dedicated non-alcoholic bar in the heart of Brookvale, open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Come in and enjoy some of Sydney’s best non-alcoholic cocktails, a wide range of craft Australian non-alcoholic beer, and non-alcoholic Sparkling Wines from around the world. With two mixologists, local musicians and an atmostpheric distillery bar, it’s a great place to chill out and relax. The distillery is also available for private events and parties.

Custom Cafe is another great café to add to the list of funky venues in Brookvale. It’s not your average greasy spoon sort of cafe, although it still does a roaring trade in runny egg and bacon rolls with lots of sauce and posh brekkie wraps for early morning tradies. Try the cafe’s take on the Japanese-Hawaiian poke bowl the “Brooky Bowl” with six delicious types of fl avours. They also know everyone loves a burger. With over 12 years of experience teaching on the north shore for community colleges, Donna fulfi lled a lifelong dream opening her school three years ago in Brookvale. 17 years of learning at TAFE instilled a love of clay that has never gone away.
