Huawei’s Cloud Campus Solution powers agile business environments

Huawei has unveiled its Cloud Campus solution at GITEX 2016, aimed at empowering Middle East businesses with broadband network agility to cope with the demand of our increasingly datadriven mobile world. The latest addition to Huawei’s Agile Campus Network series was unveiled at GITEX 2016. As Middle East businesses

and government organizations continue to embrace the digital transformation, Huawei Cloud Campus solution enables them to better leverage the opportunities brought on by the mobile internet revolution while supporting the exponential demand for bandwidth as usage surges for multiple mobile devices and sophisticated apps that can be

used anytime, anywhere. “With the rapid development and deployment of mobile services, applications and social platforms, consumers across all industries are expecting bandwidth on demand, speed and network responsiveness for companies and service providers,” said David Shi, Vice President, Solutions and Marketing, Huawei Enterprise Middle East. “Organisations in the Middle East, and globally, are under pressure to constantly adapt to the digital transformation and seek solutions like Cloud Campus that help them maintain converged, simple and open network platforms that provide agility, scalability and flexibility to succeed in today’s business environment.” Built on a unified platform, Huawei’s Cloud Campus solution

has the capacity to support a data analytics platform for businesses looking to leverage and measure its data to provide an optimised experience to its end users. Cloud Converged Campus solution delivers an open architecture and ecosystem platform that delivers agile, scalable network performance. The solution also provides efficient anywhere, anytime administration to ensure 24/7 remote maintenance access for true uninterrupted network availability. The solution moves from a CAPEX model that was previously heavy on hardware costs and where huge amounts of time and resources would have been spent on making endless configurations, to a brand new concept that is able to accommodate millions of mobile devices wherever they may be operating. This is thanks to a unique architecture that spreads across a really wide network otherwise known as Cloud Networking.

With the theme this year being ‘re-imagining realities,’ how do you think will augmented and virtual reality technologies impact the ICT industry in the Middle East region? Augmented and virtual reality technologies will likely have a huge impact on the region’s ICT industry: they will affect everything from business processes and interactions to end-user experience. Enterprises across the Middle East seem eager to adopt these technologies, to streamline and scale up the efficiency of their offices, but will have to adopt capable solutions to interact with the digital ecosystem. What kind of IT trends do you see impacting the regional ICT industry in the next two years? The industry’s focus is now shifting from a hardware-based environment to a softwarebased environment, or more realistically, a mix of the two. So it’s not just softwaredefined WAN that’s growing in popularity, but softwaredefined everything: security, storage, and other key aspects of business operations. With the trends swinging towards software-defined solutions, we expect to see positive growth in the next few years for both the regional ICT sector and Silver Peak.
