Academic registration guide Registrations will be conducted off-campus only. Online assistance is available. Please refer to the section above, and access the link that contains all the contact information. Students who require off-campus assistance can contact the Call Centre or visit the following link for detailed contact information: https://www.cput.ac.za/enquiries You can register from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you have Internet access. You can use a smart phone, tablet or a computer to register online. Please use Internet Explorer as your Internet search engine. No other browsers are certified for online registration at CPUT. Specifications for your computer: Internet Explorer 7 or higher, with Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or higher. No other browsers are certified for online registration at CPUT. NOTE: Once you have completed your registration, it is very important that you check the following on your Proof of Registration printout: • The Registered for Period (usually the whole year) • The Course, Offering Type (i.e. Full-time or part-time) and Campus • The Subject Code and When the subject is offered (Semester 1, 2, or year) • The Exam Year and Month • The spelling of your Name/s and Surname If you fail to make corrections before the amendment cut-off dates, you will be liable for the fees, and the subjects concerned will appear on your academic record as a FAIL. Note that where you have failed lower level subjects that are prerequisites for the higher level subjects, the higher level subject will be automatically de-registered in July. It is the student’s responsibility to check that the remaining subjects are correct for the second semester, and to make any amendments if necessary.
