l Follow the template twice to create the box. Lay vertical on card, then draw around the outline. Repeat with another sheet of card. l Score along the tab, the lower vertical section and across the two horizontal sections, as indicated by the slots. If the back flap is to stay up, only score one of the horizontal sections on one card. l Draw a faint line down the top vertical slot. Cut out the template and trim down the pencil line. Fold along the lower score lines and glue the flap to the other panel so it's on the inside. Bend back the top flaps. l Cut four strips of card, 1.5cm x 9cm, then score 1cm in from each end and fold along the score lines to create tabs. Glue these inside the box, 1cm from the top, so acetate strips can be stuck on. Decorate the box as desired.
Pick a Sentiment
Create a white box greeting, then trim purple gingham card into four panels, 6cm x 11cm, and flower card into four, 6cm x 8cm. Stick the gingham panels to the sides and the flower ones to the flaps. Decorate the inside of the flaps with die-cut lily motifs. Add the acetate pop-ups at different heights.

Essentials... Stamp, Stamping Bella, Row of Bunny Wobbles Copic, markers Ink-pads: black, turquoise Chalk, blue Dies: stitched scallop, flower Card: lilac, aqua Ribbon, grass Self-adhesive pearls Adhesives
This adorable Easter card by Marianne Fisher is sure to raise a smile when received by your nearest and dearest. The stamped images are lightly shaded using markers to give a fluffy effect to the bunny's fur, and soft shading with chalk creates the ideal sky around the stamped motifs. Layer the finished focal onto panels of decorative card and dot die-cut flowers around to pull the whole composition together.
Craft Clever
To achieve a furry effect, create a series of dots in three shades of grey, then when dry, fill in with more dots using a blender pen
1
Create a card blank, 14.5cm square. Cut aqua heart paper, 13.5cm, square and mount onto lilac, leaving a narrow border all round. Wrap a length of ribbon around the card, 2cm from the bottom, securing the ends underneath. Attach to the blank. Stamp the image onto white card and colour using marker pens. Create a sky with a light shading of blue chalk, leaving small areas white for a cloudy effect. Die-cut the bottom of the image using a stitchedscallop edge die. Trim aqua striped paper, 4cm x 13.5cm. Cut one of the long edges using the same die as above. Attach to the card with the die-cut edge, 3cm from the top. Secure the image so that it is part over the striped paper and part way over the top of the ribbon. Stamp or print a sentiment and die-cut into a stitched circle, fixing to the card near the top. Die-cut four sets of flowers from lilac and aqua paper scraps and assemble, inking the edges of the lighter petals. Arrange the flowers and secure, adding pearls to the centres. CB

CARDS & PAPER
Easter Greeting Sweet & Simple
This whimsical card illustrated with a collection of sweet little characters on a train would make a fun greeting for the youngsters in the family. The co-ordinated elements used take the guesswork out of matching colours and patterns together. And the pre-printed sentiments are the perfect solution if your handwriting is a little shaky! To finish, create an attractive textured border with an embossing folder, then add die-cut shapes to give height and dimension.
Essentials... Doodlebug Easter Express Collection: 6” x 6” pad, stickers, die-cuts Embossing folders, Xcut, Hearts Dies, Die-namics: Stitched Scallop Edges, Grassy Edges Card, coloured Bakers twine Self-adhesive enamel dots Adhesives
Craft Clever
Stickers always need to lay flat, attach them to foam pads to add some dimension
“Emboss your background panels to add a touch of texture and lift to the design”
1
Create a card blank, 15cm square, with a fold at the top. Cut teal background paper from the pad, 14.5cm square, then glue onto the front of the base card. Cut icon background paper, 11cm x 14.5cm and mount onto mint card. Die-cut a scallop border from light pink card and glue behind the icon panel at the bottom. Stick the completed panel onto the front of the card. Trim white card, 7.5cm x 14.5cm and run it through the embossing folder.

Peel off the backing from the foam pads and attach the train sticker onto the card. Position the wording onto the front as shown. Add an enamel dot to each corner of the card to finish. CB

Sweet Bunny Set
This adorable set will have you simply hopping with joy this spring! Not only is it quick and simple to make, it's also guaranteed to bring a smile to your recipient's face. Get creative with jovial shades and sweet little touches, such as fluffy pompom tails and sparkling eyes.
Essentials... Papers: decorative; plain Stam ping inks, various colours Fine pens: black, white Pompoms Ribbon and thread Self-adhesive gems Adhesives
Easy Bunting
Copy the rabbit template onto pastel papers, cut out and discard the box elements. Attach a second ear behind the first one, then fold the front over. Using a fine pen, draw on facial features, swirls and dots across the body. Attach a paper eye, then add an insert on the ear. Hang the bunnies by the ear over thread.
Rabbit Greeting
1
Copy the template from the pattern pages onto decorative paper. Cut out the two body pieces but discard the box element, then buff stamping ink around the outer edges. Attach a second ear behind the first. With a compass, draw a circle on green paper and cut out. Score across the circle and fold in half. Attach the two bunnies, facing each other, onto one half of the semi-circle. Draw details on the face and add circles of paper for the eyes, topping with gems. Tie thread around the neck, then secure with a bow. Cut two small paper tags, top with a heart and glue to the neck of the bunny. Fix a small pompom for a tail. Print out a sentiment, mount onto contrasting paper and attach to the card below the feet.

A FRESH SEASON MEANS NEW CRAFTY TREATS FOR STEPHANIE WEIGHTMAN
F Celebrate exciting adventures and new beginnings BIRDY BUBBLES Stamp a sentiment in the top centre of a tent-fold card, 17cm square, then add a patterned strip, 5cm x 17cm. Matt three alternating blue and white circles to the front, then add smaller blue and white discs using the Mini Circles and Circles dies. Top with an owl and bathtub made from the Spring Bubble die, tint with pens and add glitter.
inally, the frost has thawed after one of the longest winters ever, and I'm quite giddy at catching my first glimpses of crocuses in the garden. Spurred on by the new shoots and fresh bursts of life, Easter's arrival is a lovely opportunity to flex my green fingers. Gardening is so enriching at this time of year, and the return of the sunshine makes all the hard work worthwhile. This is also a fantastic time to be a crafter, with all kinds of animal-based projects to get the kids involved – who doesn't love fluffy chicks and colourful eggs? The adorable creatures in Tattered Lace’s Garden Trails Collection are perfect for seasonal cards, and are sure to go down a treat with a generous helping of chocolate!

My Star Card this issue, which uses the Spring Booboo and Squares die sets, turns a chocolate surprise into a sweet greeting for a loved one. Create a white card blank, 17cm square, then stamp a With Love sentiment in the bottom-right corner. Using the Squares dies, cut a red card square from 15 and a dotty paper square from 14, then mount both on the main white front, leaving an even border. Cut another red square using 12 and a white square with 11 and matt onto the patterned square, tilting diagonally. Prepare a bear and egg with the Spring Booboo die, layer onto the card and tint using coloured pens. Adorable!
CHEEKY CHICK Matt alternating white and orange squares on a card blank, 20cm. Cut six patterned shapes from Hearts die 6 and arrange on the front to form a flower. Top with a white disc using Circles die 13, then draw a stitch outline around the edge of the circle and petals in black ink. Prepare a yellow bird using the Spring Chicklet die and tint with pens.
