This month's free gift couldn't be easier to use, also your decoupage kit contains everything you could need to create six blooming beautiful greetings, and we've put our creative caps on to come up with ten unique designs, but the possibilities are endless. Each die-cut sheet is conveniently numbered so you know precisely where to layer each flower onto, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3 – literally! As always, we would love to see what you make from yours, who knows, you might even see your creation in the next issue.

Overlap the edges to create even more of a statement

Send with Love

Trim a pale green printed blank, 10.5cm square, and cover with co-ordinating paper. Secure the first four layers from the corner flower sheet with foam pads, fix to the lower-left and add the ‘Love’ die-cut to the top-right.

Build a Bouquet

Take a top-fold A6 blank and glue pale pink paper down the centre, then round off the lower corners. Layer the large rose bouquet die-cuts and attach to the blank. Finish with a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment underneath.

Alter your card base to any 0style or size

Decorate a Blank

Assemble the pink and blue bouquet and attach onto pale pink card. Secure a sentiment to the bottom and matt the finished panel onto a card blank.

Welcome a little one into the world with this everso sweet card by Marianne Fisher. The term 'rocka-bye baby' couldn't be any more apparent here; the stamped image of a newborn hedgehog in a hammock just oozes with cuteness. Embellish with flowers, lace and your favourite papers to create a keepsake greeting.

top techniques with VINTAGE BLOOMS Colourful card and bold ink combine to create Keren Baker's stunning floral designs

These botanical beauties are sure to bring a smile to a loved one's face and they're great fun to make too! The bright inky designs are achieved by using a diecutting machine to create stencils, before decorating with blossoming die-cut flowers and pre-printed paper roses.

Essentials... Card: white, green Dies: Tonic Studios, Curved Crosses and Simple Stripes; Radiant Rose Lily; Basic Circle Elements Stamp, Winnie and Walter, Thanks All-occasion paper pad, Graphtec Ink: Ranger, Caribbean Coast dye; Tim Holtz, Candied Apple Oxide, Peacock Feathers Oxide; Tonic Studios, Nuvo Hybrid Black Pizza box, Stampin’ Up! Nuvo drops, Tonic Studios, Dandelion Yellow Red ribbon Blending tool Adhesives

Make a Happy Greeting

1 Create a white blank, 14.5cm x 16cm, and mount green card to the front. Trim white card, smaller than the base. Die-cut the Simple Stripe die several times to make a wide stencil. 2 Tape the stencil onto the white card, then roughly blend blue oxide ink over the top. Remove the stencil and allow to dry. Add a strip of red spotted paper to the bottom. 3 Trim a floral design from the paper pad and die-cut the Radiant

Rose Lily die from yellow paper. Curl the edges, then secure smaller flowers in the centre. Stamp and trim out a sentiment, then add to the card with foam pads. Finish the card with yellow Nuvo drops.

“Always store your ink-pads uspide down. This keeps the ink on the surface of the pad” Keren Baker, designer

CARDS & PAPER

KEREN’S TOP TIP S If you die-cut card to use as a stencil for colouring, why not use the leftover stencil that’s now coloured to add unique details to other projects? When cutting one or two dies at a time, place your dies towards the outer edge of the plates, not the centre. This is where the pressure on the machine rollers is at its greatest. Use self-closing tweezers to hold the ribbon in place when tying it; it's like having an extra pair of hands!

Create a Treat Box

Assemble the pizza box and cut out strips of paper to decorate the edges. Using a die-cut stencil that you’ve already blended over, adhere to the top of the box. Add green card to the bottom and wrap ribbon around the box. Trim and die-cut flowers from yellow paper, then attach to the bottom.

Die-cut a Happy Birthday Card

1 Create a white blank, 12cm x 15.5cm, then mount a smaller layer of green card. Trim white card, slightly smaller piece than the front. Die-cut the Curved Crosses die repeatedly to create a panel. 2 Tape the panel on top of the white card and roughly blend Candied Apple oxide ink over the top. Die-cut a circle

from the centre of the stencilled piece. Mount red spotted card onto the green layer. 3 Add the stencilled layer over the red paper using foam pads. Trim roses and leaves from the paper pad and die-cut flowers from blue paper. Stack and curl the flowers, then arrange onto the card. Stamp and trim out the sentiment, then add to the card. Finish with yellow Nuvo drops. CB

MY WEEK...

A CHANGE IS AS GOOD AS A REST FOR CRAFTY TRAVELLER STEPHANIE WEIGHTMAN

T Creature comforts with three cheerful dies FLUTTER FREE Matt a white rectangle onto a card blank, 14cm x 20cm. Create a die-cut in cream using Butterfly Lace Flourish, Lace Corner, Chain Swirls and S Butterfly. Tint the diecuts with pens and mount onto the card. Stamp a sentiment in the bottom right corner and embellish with gems to finish.

hanks to my recent holiday in St Lucia, I’m feeling lovely and refreshed. It’s the second time my husband and I have been, and it's become a tradition to learn a local craft. The first time we went, I turned my hand to palm leaf weaving, whereas this time I opted for a course to cook like a Lucian. We both tackled a few dishes, tasted several others and swotted up on the ingredients. Unfortunately, although I started off taking pictures, by the end I was eating more than I was photographing! It was entertaining, but as soon as I got home I was straight back into work mode. Luckily, the adorable Charisma Cuddles and Crescent Creations collections make for great focal points on springthemed cards as a way to celebrate new beginnings.

Make Your Own...

This uplifting greeting can be made easily using the Crescent Creations Butterflies die set. Create a card blank, 15.5cm square, then mount with smaller green, red, orange and patterned layers, leaving a border around the edges. Prepare two discs from green and white card using the No 10 and No 9 Circles respectively. Stamp a 'wake and be fabulous' sentiment on the white circle with rainbow ink, then draw a stitch pattern around the edge in pink ink. Layer the circles and matt onto the main front. Use a Butterfly Lace Flourish die on green and L Butterfly on white. Tint the individual butterflies using red, pink and yellow pens, then cover with glitter. Matt the die-cuts onto the card to finish.

HELLO TWEETIE Fold yellow card, 14cm x 20cm, to make a tent greeting. Mount smaller white and patterned rectangles onto the front. Use the Olga Owl die on white, tint with pens and matt onto the main card. Cut tails into one end of yellow and white strips, then layer. Stamp a sentiment on top and attach to the front.
