How to use your FREE
Fly-Away Home Dies
These cards made using our free dies will make your heart flutter in delight!
A little birdie told me...
Use your avian dies by piecing together lots of pretty papers. Simply die-cut one or two of each motif in different shades, then pop out the excess from the main one and add in the elements from the other colours. You can also trim card and stick it behind the shapes – this works well on very small gaps such as the ones on top of the birdhouse.
Plus‌
We show you how to use them with a video tutorial!
Just a Little Note
Mount pink papers onto a blank, then glue on two strips of paper. Die-cut a birdhouse from different card shades and assemble as shown. Fix onto a circle, then secure it and a sentiment to the front.
Blue Bird
Cover blue card, 11.5cm square, with patterned papers. Fix a ribbon over the join, then mount onto a blank larger than the panel. Decorate with a bird, cloud, sentiment, bow and gems.
Picket Fence
Matt paper onto a blank, 10cm x 14cm. Make clouds, sun, fence and grass, then assemble onto a blue panel as shown. Add a birdhouse, then adhere the section to the blank.

ello September - one of my favourite months! Welcome back cosy evenings in front of the fire with my knitting and a cuppa. It’s also the perfect time to start planning those special handmade Christmas gift ideas for my nearest and dearest. With this in mind, I ordered a wood burning tool, some wooden discs and began to practice pyrography. After a few hesitant goes and a some rather odd looking marks, I started to really see the creative potential of this traditional technique. I love the patterns the tool made, plus the sound of burning wood is really satisfying! (However, do sit in a well-ventilated room as it can be a little smokey!) I’m now moving onto larger projects and have added pyrography to my list of potential handmade gifts. So go on, try out a new craft and enjoy the autumn evenings that are heading our way.

y new favourite pastime is creating all sorts of Christmas cards and home decs, using the wonderful Tattered Lace Christmas Melded dies and their demi-frames. The new collection makes it incredibly easy to create stunning luxury cards. I say it’s never too early to make a start on your Yuletide makes, and the earlier you begin, the more time you have to try everything out. I might just try to print the Charisma Robin onto fabric with the Terial Magic and create some seasonal baubles.

It folds flat and has 20 storage pockets in a range of sizes, perfect for all your crafting accessories. Look what I made!
Just recently, I made a wonderful card using the gorgeous new Disney Christmas Frozen collection. I used the Frozen backing paper and added some glitter and gems for that extra-special touch. The Disney characters have also been layered to gorgeous effect. I hope you like the card as much as I do!
