and so do the fashions. Years ago, some of the men at the Club looked dashing in their turquoise colored sports coats chosen by Robert Trent Jones himself ! The jackets just happened to match the turquoise accent color of the exterior of the Club. A group of Members actually wore these jackets when they traveled to Ireland to play in an international tournament with Mr. Jones. Fast forward, Donna Mulvey and the Golf staff continue to brand top quality shirts,

The ladies at CRCC have supported this cause and helped to raise funds for research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure for years. In fact, the golf ladies will host their 21st Rally for the Cure on Feb. 4 and Tennis ladies gather on Dec. 3 for their 4th annual fund raising tournament, luncheon and boutique. Butcher Block If you have not met your food and beverage minimum for the year and/or need some high-quality cuts of meat, order from our great butcher block menu! Offerings include chops, steaks, whole beef tenderloins or Sterling Silver boneless ribeye prime rib.
Members may cancel reservations 7 days prior to an event without being charged. However, Members will be billed 100% of the event price if reservations are cancelled less than 7 days of the event. Special club events, wine dinners, Saturday seafood buffets and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage products, equipment, entertainment, etc. Last minute un-replaced cancellations (including changes to the party number) are unfair to those Members who are turned away due to full capacity and cause the Club to incur unnecessary expenses if the reservation is not replaced.

play opportunities for our Tennis Members this fall. For women who enjoy COMPETITION, we are fielding eleven teams this year. Not on a team? We are always looking for subs. Looking for some fun, calorie-burning, HIGH-POWERED HITTING? We offer three evening live ball sessions and one morning cardio session. Take note, we have begun our CHALLENGE LADDERS and trophies will be awarded to the winners! Looking for some DROP-IN tennis? Join the Friday evening mixed doubles drop-in event or Saturday morning men’s doubles drop-in. We have the program for you!
Tennis took ahold of me about 10 years ago-sort of powerful-passionlike and I decided to take it up…to take lessons. I’ve never much liked gyms or exercise or sweating for that matter, so this was quite a surprise to everyone-includSylvia Baer ing me! I loved it from the start! Folks have asked me often about why I started doing this and I think I have the answer. Ten years ago I happened to see a group of older women playing tennis. They were laughing and trash talking and just generally having a great time. And I remember thinking that I wanted to be an old woman like that. I wanted to be an old woman who pushes limits but doesn’t take herself or the game too seriously. So, I started from scratch and I’ve had a lot of injuries. But I love to play and I love to run around the courts and hit and chase balls and giggle and fist-pump when I make great shots. I’ve become those old women and I love it. And since I’m on the verge of turning 70, it’s delightful to feel like my nine-year-old self while I’m on the courts. I hope someone will see me out there and realize that having fun and being goofy are things you can do at any age.
Thursday, November 28, 9 am What a great way to start Thanksgiving Day. Come out and play some doubles, burn some calories, then sit down to a great dinner. Play starts at 9 am and will finish around 11:30 am. Two divisions are offered and players switch partners after each round. Call the Tennis Shop to sign up.

As Member Debbie Edlin puts it, “Will has taught 4 generations in my family. His dedication to all his students and the game of tennis has been amazing all these years!” Pictured with Will is Bryce Parsons, grandson of Debbie Edlin and son of Lindsay Hillstrom Parsons, who Will taught to play alongside her brother, Ryan Hillstrom in their younger years. Debbie learned to play with Will alongside her sister Carrie Fast and it all started with Debbie and Carrie’s Mom, Barbara Fast Sudbrink who became a CRCC Member back in 1965!

Tee Time Changes GOLF TIPS
Greenside Shots from Tight Lies These delicate shots can frustrate any golfer. Follow these tips and learn to excel at these shots! 1 If the situation allows, play a lower trajectory shot with a 7 or 8 iron. The quicker the ball gets on the ground, the better chance you have to make it. 2 When higher trajectory is a must, stand slightly closer to the ball than normal. This helps the shaft be a bit more upright and get through the turf better. 3 As you strike the ball focus on the sole of the club thumping the grass and the face of the club remaining square. 4 Accelerate through the ball with your chest facing the target area. ➤
Down the Line
Play With The Pro The ever-popular Play with the Pro will continue throughout the season. All Members are invited to play a round of golf with any member of the Professional Staff: Scott Fox, Brett Martin, Patrick Schmitz, Taylor Collins, Chris Moxey, Mike Landers, Dolph Roder, and Jimmy Rockelman. Please check the calendar posted each month in the Golf Shop. Sign-up with the pro of your choice and select the date and time to play. It’s that easy. Plus, your cart fees are on us for the first round. We look forward to building a relationship with you and improving your game!
Care of Course Reminders • Golf carts should remain in the fairways throughout play of a hole. • Please use coquina paths to enter and exit the fairways. • Please return to the cart paths at or before the cart directional signs. • Fill divots with sand. • Repair all ball marks on the green. • Rake bunkers back to their original condition. • Remove sand from your shoes prior to walking on the green.

Club Event Reservation Policy Special club events, wine dinners, Saturday night seafood buffets and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage products, equipment, entertainment, etc. Last minute un-replaced cancellations (including changes to the party number) are unfair to those Members who are turned away due to full capacity and cause the Club to incur unnecessary expenses if the reservation is not replaced. As a result, the Club must exercise a firm enforcement of the special event and holiday dining policy. • At the time of making your reservation we will charge your account 100% of the event price. • Please let us know if you have other Members dining with you, so we may contact them. • You may cancel 7 days prior to event, without being charged. • If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the event, you will have to pay 100% of the event price. Note: Should there be a wait list and we are able to fill your reservation less than 6 days prior to the event, your account will be credited in full.
