sport, the fun of the game can always be enhanced or challenged by setting a goal. Approximately 45% of Americans make a New Year’s resolution consistently year after year and the vast majority of those resolutions are fitness and health-based. Now, a month into the year, half of those who made a resolution haven’t stuck with it and only 8% overall will actually attain their goal. Maybe it’s time to make your February resolution! Setting a “SMART” goal aka a Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timebased goal can increase your commitment and overall enjoyment of many sports, activities and, of course, life in general. Small things done consistently over time will yield great results, so start small, with one goal in mind, and incorporate it into your routine. Our Golf and Tennis Pros are on-hand to help you reach your goals with instruction, advice and encouragement. Joining a weekly clinic or playing group can help you zero in on specific skills while entering a Club Championship or tournament

can sharpen your competitive edge. Staying at the top of your game or just staying active are admirable health goals. But your goal may be to spend more quality time with your family and friends. The Club is here to not only serve your active lifestyle, but to serve as that home away from home, where social interaction of friends and family help to knit together the fabric of our lives. Don’t miss creating memories at the many social events of the season. Check out Tony Pace, the man with the voice who happens to be funny, make plans to treat your love to a Valentine’s Day Dinner & Dance, and celebrate at our Fat Tuesday Crawfish Boil and St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Smash. Bring the whole family for the Not-So-Disney Character Brunch and then swoon to the tunes of Ol’ Blue Eyes! For those setting healthy eating goals, don’t despair. You can still enjoy eating out while reaching your goal. Try some of the new low-calorie, nutrient based dishes that were added to the menu this fall. The quinoa and kale salad might be your new favorite! As always, our goal is to provide you with exceptional service that will exceed your expectations and leave you with memorable experiences! small things golfers can do to contribute to a better course and better play. Here are a few: • Pick up broken tees to prevent damage to mower reels. • Replace a sign or rope stake that has been knocked down or torn. This prevents damage and keeps the course looking neat. • Let staff know if you spot a leak to prevent turf damage from traffic in the area. • Avoid following the same path of the carts before you. • Avoid taking divots on practice swings. • Chip to the chipping green – not the practice putting green or practice tee. • During putting practice, avoid standing in one place for extended periods. This can cause damage to the green. • Put bunker rakes where the superintendent has directed them to be placed. With your help, we can all make a difference. Thank you!

C LU B EV E N T R E S E RVAT I O N P O L I C Y Special club events, wine dinners, seafood buffets and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage products, equipment, entertainment, etc. Last minute un-replaced cancellations (including changes to the party number) are unfair to those Members who are turned away due to full capacity and cause the Club to incur unnecessary expenses if the reservation is not replaced. As a result, the Club must exercise a firm enforcement of the special event and holiday dining policy. • At the time of making your reservation we will charge your account 100% of the event price. Please let us know if you have other Members dining with you. • You may cancel 7 days prior to event, without being charged. • If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the event, you will have to pay 100% of the event price. Note: Should there be a wait list and we are able to fill your reservation less than 6 days prior to the event, your account will be credited in full.
