承繼百年前鐵道機械動能給現代社會的提示與靈感，由文化部主辦的 2019 臺灣文博會，主題設定為「Culture On the Move – 文化動動動」，企圖讓文化的動能穿透時間與空間的厚度，沿著臺北舊鐵道線，串起華山 1914 文創園區、松山文創園區、花博公園爭艷館、空總臺灣當代文化實驗場、臺北機廠鐵道博物館園區等產業歷史空間，打造出「文化創新廊帶」，串聯人們對城市發展的想像，也擾動各時代的空間和集體記憶。

文化是持續不斷的、動態的意義交鋒，而「Move」則是呼籲大家起身探索的號召，一起探勘臺灣在地人文與原生文化，並由眾多策展人與藝術家共同呈現臺灣文化的多樣主張，齊聚思考「文化該如何 ?」一同「On the move」。

「Culture On the Move」是一場展開的運動，集結眾人的力量共同參與探索，對一切文化的可能性與想法保持開放，找尋臺灣在世界文化市場上獨樹一格的魅力，而這場運動也將會一直持續下去―Culture is always on the move ！

Following the significance and inspiration that modern society received from railway's mechanical power centuries ago, the 2019 Creative Expo Taiwan hosted by the Ministry of Culture adopts the theme of "Culture On the Move" to merge culture and time by connecting historical spaces, including Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Songshan Cultural & Creative Park, Taipei Expo Park – Expo Dome, Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab and TRW Railway Museum, the aim is to create a "Cultural Corridor" and in order to bring together people's imagination of city development, but also spatial and collective memories from different times. Here, "Culture" refers to the dynamic collision and integration of meanings, and "Move" calls on all to explore the native culture of Taiwan. By the means of multiple curators' and artists’ approach to Taiwan culture, everyone is invited to think about how the concept, and "Culture On the Move," can be realized. While every movement includes surprising twists and discontinuities, "Culture On the Move" gathers the power of the multitude to explore every cultural possibility, and stays open-minded for discovering the unique charm of Taiwanese culture. This movement will indeed continue― Culture is always on the move!

CULTURE ON THE MOVE 文化動動動

「Culture On the Move」以城市為展場，透過大量採集、綜合展演、分享與創新，尋找臺灣文化在地性連接與全球性的無限潛能。

在華山的主題概念區中，以「編導（Direct）― 演變舞台」和「編輯（Edit）―編輯地方」兩個行動出發，對接傳統與創新、探索在地與多元。《演變舞台》的現場打破了展覽和表演界線，以「表演」和「紀錄」並進呈現主題館 ;《編輯地方》則探究地方的真實本質，以出版地方刊物《本地》，與地方展演館、工藝館與山海廟集，共同論述地方。

《博覽會》中兩大主場―設計品牌館與圖像授權館，藉由文化創意商品與各式原創 IP，看見臺灣美學輸出與產業結合的完美案例。《文化大學堂》則在城市中開放成為一座思辨的大會場，交織新鮮概念與引領時代話題。《NEXT 鐵道博物館》開出了城市動能的初始，宣示文化創新廊道的開啟，讓大眾為城市中的空間記憶，共創下一章節的想像。

Culture On the Move sees the city as an exhibition venue and employs a large variety of materials, exhibitions, performances, and innovations to uncover local and global potentiality of Taiwanese culture.

Huashan 1914 Creative Park, being the thematic hub, is represented through two approaches: "direct" and "edit," which aim to connect tradition and innovation while exploring the local and the diverse. 《Stage On the Move》 breaks down the boundaries between exhibition and performance, presenting two thematic pavilions based on "performance" and "documentary." 《Places On the Move 》 explores the essence of places, employing the local publication, entitled The Place , to co-theorize places together with city pavilions as well as the craft installations and markets. 《Fair On the Move―Design & Licensing》

demonstrate perfect integration of Taiwanese aesthetics and products with a variety of original IP and cultural creative products. 《School On the Move》 transforms the city into a lecture hall presenting fresh concepts and trending topics. 《 Infrastructure On

General Consultant │ Wei-Hsiung Chan 臺中豐原鎮人。曾參與博客來網路書店與《Shopping Design》、《數位時代》、《Soul》、《Gigs》、《短篇小說》等多本雜誌之創辦；著有《美學的經濟》等書，目前專職於文化社會學之研究。

Wei-Hsiung Chan grew up in Fengyuan, Taichung, he is the co-founder of the online bookstore, Books.com, and various magazines, such as Shopping Design, Business Next, Soul, Gigs and Short Fiction Magazine. He is also the author of The Economy of Aesthetics and other books, and currently immerses himself in cultural sociology.

General Curator │ Tammy Chen-Jung Liu 臺中豐原市人，BIAS 衍序規劃設計共同創辦人，長期關注公共性議題，擅長以實驗及議題研究的方式，重新思考城市空間及其文化表現。

Born in Fengyuan, Taichung, Tammy Chen-Jung Liu is the co-founder of BIAS Architects. She has focused on public issues for a long time and excels in experimental and strategic planning to reconsider the urban space and its cultural practices.

Current dramaturg at National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts―Weiwuying, Keng was the artistic director of Taipei Arts Festival. He is the recipient of the GermanTaiwan Friendship Medals and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

「溯」祭典 ― 探尋臺灣文化的儀式劇場

跨界跨世代！傳統布袋戲尬台語搖滾樂隊

用一場融合傳統藝陣、戲曲和當代擊鼓的儀式劇場，演藝臺灣傳統裡的信仰，讓歷史洪流裡的文化積累當代化，也引領觀眾沉浸在動態的表演軌跡中，再一次找回臺灣文化根源的原始動力。

在地文化大躍動，傳統布袋戲與當代搖滾樂隊聯手演出，由布袋戲大師陳錫煌率領北管樂師，結合臺灣土產搖滾樂隊拍謝少年，打造跨界野台大戲，繼往開來、謝天謝地。

以「編輯」帶入 on the move 的搜尋，經由設計者透徹的思維，從地景、祭典儀式、飲食文化等面向切入，尋找各地最在地的獨特性，呈現桃園、臺南、屏東、臺東四個城市概念館與地方誌、工藝館和市集，讓地方再尋找的過程組織成「編輯地方」。

Place On the Move-The Place 隨著時代的演變與人們生活意識的趨向成熟，地方生活的面貌與可能性也隨之改變，而透過刊物的內容採集與製作，發掘那些地方上努力實踐與定義美好生活的人們及事物。「本地 The Place」系列刊物的初衷在於探究地方的本質，試圖跳脫傳統經濟導向的思維，透過編輯團隊對於地方的深入理解與價值取捨，挖掘出屬於地方「最野最現代」的一面。

Culture is the philosophy of livings; to Taitung, it is truly experience. 2019 Creative Expo Taiwan – Taitung Pavilion is themed as Authentic Experience for Living Philosophy, which is the core concept of curation. With daily objects collection and music of life's pulsing rhythm, the exhibition will lead visitors to feel lands on this island and endless ocean, as if living of Taitung is vivid in front of your eyes.

Taoyuan Reﬂecting 本次桃園市政府文化局以編輯地方館的型態參與 2019 年臺灣文博會，將化身一間專注於桃園的「桃花源設計事務所」，為桃園分析城市相關議題進而提出具體行動，植入設計、音樂、體育、地方產業、觀光地景等元素，引導民眾在結合詩性空間場域的地方館中看見嶄新的桃園。

The Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan is participating in the "Places On the Move" of 2019 Creative Expo Taiwan, The exhibit will be presented as a design ﬁrm named "Taoyuan Reﬂecting." Related urban issues will also be tackled throughout the curatorial process and methods to assist the city on their journey forward will be proposed while integrating elements such as design, music, sports, local industries, and tourist attractions. The poetic space of the exhibition will inspire visitors to see the city of Taoyuan with fresh eyes.

Our Pingtung Stories 2019 文博會屏東館以「吟．土．風．人」為題採集故事，結合聲音、影像、舞蹈、展覽，宛若戲劇展演般起承轉合：自詩歌傳唱起始，屏東記憶符號承接，將祭典轉化為舞姿，從孩童視野展望未來，讓你透過眼中所見，耳所傾聽，化為心中所感，累積形成文化，記住這土地的精彩故事。

The exhibition "Our Pingtung Stories" gathers various stories as its foundation to build a stage to display a theatrical story of Pingtung. By collecting sounds, images, dancing and interactions from the local area, the theme is surrounded with the elements from poetry, brands, festivals and educational institutions in Pingtung.

策展人｜方序中 Curator │ Joe Fang 現職究方社 JoeFang Studio 創意總監。多次獲得金點設計標章及德國紅點設計獎等國際獎項肯定，近年來參與金曲獎、金鐘獎及金馬獎的視覺設計。

Creativity director of JoeFang Studio, Joe Fang has been awarded in various international design awards, including Golden Pin, Red Dot. Recently, he is also the visual designer of GBA, GMA and GHA, which are three major media awards in Taiwan.

Simmering Fire 2019 文博會臺南館取「文文仔火」為主軸，以臺語「溫火熬煮」之意，體現臺南人觀看時間的方式。嘗試將火的概念延伸出「連結、烹調、淬鍊、指引」四種面向，透過「物件、聲音、影像、裝置」四種不同載體來梳理城市與個人之間的情感關係。 The Tainan Pavilion is themed "Simmering Fire." This Taiwanese expression of cooking gently with a small flame echoes with how people in Tainan are unreserved in living a composed, laid-back lifestyle. In the actual exhibition, the concept of fire is extended into the four aspects of "connection, cooking, distillation, and guidance." Through four different carriers of memories ― objects, sounds, images, and artwork, this exhibition hopes to settle the relationships between the city and individuals.

With tea as center and craft as radius, the image of culture is presented within the circumference of life. The Craft section is presenting Tea 3.1415, portraying the discourse of craft in everyday life through the evolutions of tea culture. From the perspective of tea culture, we hope to encourage viewers to reﬂect on the spirit and value of Taiwan craft in everyday life, allowing them to discover the cultural trajectory of craft in our lives.

文化大學堂是探尋、討論與思辨臺灣文化樣貌的大會場。展覽以「混水釣蝦場」（Lagoon Apeiron）為題，搭配宛若瀉湖意象的展場，規劃多場次跨領域創意工作者，帶領群眾圍繞釣蝦場，共同展開饒富思辨討論，涵養成新舊交替調節言論的匯流處，翻轉空總原有的場域意義。同時呼應古希臘哲人阿那克希曼德所提出的「混水」理論，創造無邊界與無界定的浸潤經驗，在此探索出台灣文化新的始源。

位於信義區的國定古蹟「臺北機廠」，自 1935 年為鐵道車輛製造與維修場域，未來將加入文化創新廊帶，此次文博會將打開鄰近菸廠路之局部圍牆，讓大眾一覽城市中的歷史場景，共同勾勒臺北機廠成為國家鐵道博物館的想像。

Once the manufacturing and maintenance center of railway vehicles, TRW Railway Museum, the ofﬁcial national historic site located at the heart of Taipei will be transformed into the railway museum. During the Creative Expo Taiwan, a part of the walls near Yanchang road will be opened up, inviting the public to visit the historic space and imagine the future of the railway museum.

The collections of ﬁve museums reﬂect Taiwanese people's subconscious―latent memory, folk life, nostalgic artistry, modern knowledge and universal values inform the islanders' evolving quest from "pursuing livelihood to forming values." Entering each layer to examine historical stories and objects, clues of "a future life" can be discovered. Interpret the stories in history, "discover the future" in them, and just say "hi!"

S6-2 大日本市臺灣博覽會 Dainippon-ichi Taiwan EXPO

自 2016 年發起的「大日本市博覽會」，於日本全國各工藝產地陸續展開，透過實際工藝體驗與製物現場展出，讓大眾體認到生活工藝與製物技術。今年首次跨海來台舉辦，呈現各式融合傳統工藝與現代日常的生活器物及食品，展期間更舉辦台日工藝職人工作營，絕對是一覽日本工藝的最佳機會！

Launched in 2016 and expanded to different places known for unique crafts, Dainippon-ichi introduces living crafts and production techniques to the public by engaging visitors in craft experiences and exhibitions. This year's fair is the ﬁrst edition in Taiwan and brings a wide range of traditional crafts, daily objects and food. The exhibition also includes Japanese and Taiwanese craftsman workshops that are excellent opportunities for visitors to appreciate Japanese crafts.

次掀起扭蛋風潮，今年擴大辦理邀集國內授權品牌、海外經典角色、新銳創作家，共同參與「文博限定扭蛋區」，把虛擬圖像、原創角色轉化為具有收藏價值的扭蛋小物。

How to be creative in IP licensing? The Creative Expo Taiwan brings visitors a wave of gashapon in Fair on the Move―Licensing, inviting licensing brands, oversea classic characters and emerging artists to take part in Gashapon where images and characters are converted into gashapon collectibles.

Fashion x Illustration Themed Exhibition 台北時尚新創中心與臺灣文博會首次推動國內時尚新銳品牌與新銳插畫家合作，透過插畫元素進入時裝設計，跨界運用，激盪創作火花，其中更推出與今年臺灣文博會嚴選的 Talent 100 新銳設計師合作。「SHOUSHOU」與兒童繪本插畫師張筱琦，運用色彩翻玩印花；「YIBO」與藉由筆觸探索世界 OUNCE Studio，使用絹印手法讓插畫創作躍然衣料之上。見文化之間，界限漸步消融，時尚設計與藝術插畫也經由對話碰撞，顛覆框架，再度活躍。

For the ﬁrst time, Fashion Taipei and the Creative Expo Taiwan bring together Taiwanese fashion brands and emerging illustration artists, combining both industries with creative crossover while featuring emerging designers showcased in Talent 100. SHOUSHOU collaborates with children's book illustration artist Chang HsiaoChi to reveal a creative approach to colorful prints. YIBO collaborates with OUNCE Studio that explores the world with the brush to incorporate silk print of illustrations in clothing. As cultural boundaries dissolve, fashion design and illustration create new dialogues, subverting the pre-existing frameworks and introducing new creative energies.

鼓勵 IP 角色與食品業者跨界聯名，展現授權商業模式，同時為展區增添活潑性，以最直接的方式展現圖像 IP 無所不在的渲染力，使 IP 離生活更近。

The Food Court encourages crossover of IP characters and food brands to show a different mode of commercial licensing and add liveliness to the exhibition, demonstrating the power of licensing graphic images and bringing it close to life in the most straightforward way.

Talent 100 Moves 今年圖像授權館特別與「黑青 Black and Blue Cosmos」團隊共同策劃「Talent 100 Moves」創作區，邀請所有創作新銳以「地方文化」為主題，並以臺灣「淡蘭古道」孕育的稀有蕨類活化石「雙扇蕨」為載體形象共同創作。展覽現場的創作圖像將以平面和 AR 擴增實境展出，只要透過黑青 APP，便能與 100 種各具特色的雙扇蕨一起互動嬉戲，呼應今年文博會主題「Culture On the Move 文化動動動」－文化從來不是靜止，而是持續綿延不絕的動態意象。

T h i s y e a r ' s Ta l e n t 1 0 0 M o v e s i s a collaboration between "Fair On the Move― Design" and "Black and Blue Cosmos." Emerging artists are invited to create artworks based on the theme of "local culture" while incorporating the image of "Coupled Dipteris," a living fossil found along the Tamsui-Kavalan Trails. The artwork display combines graphic images and AR technology. An APP developed by Black and Blue Cosmos allows interactions with a hundred kinds of ferns in the Coupled Dipteris family, echoing "Culture on the Move" and conveying the dynamics of culture that is always evolving and expanding.

Having enjoyed high popularity every year, this year's Talent 100 gathers 100 Taiwanese and international new talents through submission and recommendation by media and different associations, spanning ﬁve IP licensing categories, including illustration, comics, animation, print design and character figure. Talent 100 offers an independent, original platform for emerging artists in Taiwan's licensing industry, and calls together distinctive creative styles, trending topics and popular materials to facilitate more exchanges of graphic design between Taiwan and the international market while building the most creative base in Asia.
