But before we go any further a little bit about the HRI The Haiti-Rwanda Initiative (HRI) is a collaborative project established by a group of Haitian and Haitian-American entrepreneurs and leaders to explore avenues of collaboration, cooperation, partnership, and exchanges with Rwanda The HRI is led by a Governing Board comprising several organizations, including D E G Enterprises SA LLC, Impex Party Arrangements, Automated Systems Consulting, The Haitian-American Alliance, Sa Se Bisnis Pam SSBP, and Lobey Art & Travel The first delegation of HRI members, including businesspersons, technology investors, hospitality management experts, art and travel professionalsand consultants, visited Kigali, Rwanda, in April 2022

Since then, the HRI has continued to host various events and initiatives in Rwanda, including the Collaborators' Cocktail Party & Dinner at Precious Dishes in Kigali in April 2022, the concept of La Maison d'Haiti à Kigali, Rwanda - a physical presence and headquarters for the Initiative at KG 20 Ave in Kigali in May 2022, and the attendance and participation of the HRI in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting - CHOGM 2022 in June 2022

In July 2022, several entities and businesses: members of the HRI began registering in Rwanda, and in November 2022, the Haiti Rwanda Initiative hosted theOpen Housefor La Maison d'Haiti à Kigali, which featured a joint Haitian-Rwandan fashion show and art exhibition. In early February 2023, an HRI delegation was in Kigali, Rwanda, to explore cooperation and partnership with Rwandan Promoters in the area of entertainment and concert production

This brings us to the sixth and latest Edition of The Haiti-Rwanda Initiative, launched this month with the focus on a Pilot Project in Education Technology (EdTech) in collaboration with Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology, an all-girl elite STEM school in Kigali ASC?s tech team deployed 4 Promethean ActivPanels, a state-of-the-art touchscreen display that combines multi-touch interactivity, high-quality visuals, and powerful software to create immersive and interactive learning environments in Gashora classrooms The technology enables teachers to deliver dynamic lessons and engagestudentsof all learningstyles, from visual to kinesthetic, to auditory.

ASC CEO Andy Numa said the technology would have a significant impact on the quality of education and learning outcomes of the students By providing students with immersive digital environments, the ActivPanel offers an innovative and engaging way for students to explore, discover, and create, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills The pilot initiative includes the installation of Promethean ActivPanel displays in selected classroomsat GashoraGirlsAcademy of Scienceand Technology, teacher training, and ongoingsupport from ASC

The project marks ASC's commitment to promoting the use of innovative technology in education and improving the quality of learning for students worldwide ASC's goal is to provide students with the most innovative and engaging tools available to inspire their creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills

Atete Rugegea, Head Of School at Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology, welcomed the initiative and said the Promethean ActivPanel would enable teachers to deliver more dynamic and interactive lessons, engaging students in new ways The technology will help students reach their full potential, regardlessof their learningstyle

The Promethean ActivPanel offers numerous benefits in the classroom, including high-resolution displays, interactive features, and integrated sound systems The technology is compatible with a wide range of educational software and resources, making it easy for teachers to integrate into their lesson plans The panel is designed to withstand daily usein a classroom setting, with a sturdy frame and scratch-resistant surface It is part of the Promethean ecosystem, which offers resources and support to educators, including lesson plans, professional development, and technical support

The HRI believes that the ASC initiative will have a significant impact on the quality of education in Rwanda By promoting technology in the classroom, students will gain access to innovative and immersive tools that inspire creativity and critical thinking Teachers will benefit from the technology's flexibility and ease of use, enabling them to create dynamic and engaging lessons that cater to every learning style Students and teachers will benefit from the ActivPanel's integrated sound system, enabling them to communicate more effectively and collaboratein new ways

Overall, ASC's partnership with Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology is a testament to the importance of technology in education The project sets a new standard for education in Rwanda and inspires a new generation of learners to explore their passions and achieve their dreams ASC's commitment to providing ongoing training and support ensures that teachers and students get the most out of this amazing technology, and we can only hope to see more organizations following in their footsteps
