LEARN TO SWIM: TODDLER/YOUTH ABOUT LEARN TO SWIM Learn to Swim at the Town of Castle Rock is designed to progressively develop swimmers who are ready for a life in and around the water. To accomplish this, the program is set up in four phases. Because we understand not everyone starts their swimming adventure at the same age, we have also created two age-based tracks to group the swimmers with peers around the same age.

MOUNTAIN BIKING INSPIRE JUNIORS REC MTB – NEW! Do you love to ride, have fun and get outside? Inspire Juniors Rec MTB brings kids ages 6 and older together to mountain bike with peers, have fun and develop an appreciation for the sport and the outdoors while building skills, confidence and fitness. Team members will improve their mountain biking skills while being a part of a team that instills positive values like camaraderie and respect. Racing is optional but supported for juniors who want to give it a try. At the beginning of the session, kids are divided into groups based on age and guided by a coach for each practice. Parents are encouraged to sign up to volunteer to ride along so that each group has two adults. Each junior will receive a free jersey if registration is submitted by Jan. 15 for the spring session and March 1 for the summer session. Interested in coaching? We may need some more coaches. You can choose to volunteer (with the fee of one child waived) or be paid. Learn more and apply at AvoutRacing.com/BecomeACoach. Avout Racing has been running juniors cycling programs since 2016 and has received the Center of Excellence designation from USA Cycling for the past four years, as well as being named USA Cycling's Junior Club of the Year. Avout Racing offers a full spectrum of cycling options from little ones on balance bikes through serious racers. Go to AvoutRacing.org for more information. Questions? Email Jessica@AvoutRacing.com. ROOKIES (AGES 6 TO 9) SNAG Red Hawk Ridge has added the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) program to its curriculum for juniors in the Rookie age division. SNAG is a new and fun way to introduce kids to golf. SNAG contains all the elements of golf, but utilizes modified equipment (i.e. tennis balls, velcro targets and lightweight clubs with large club heads). SNAG incorporates specialized teaching methods to deliver results at a higher success rate than students get out of hitting real balls with real clubs. We provide all of the equipment for SNAG, so please do not bring a set from home. This class is recommended for juniors who have no prior golf experience and would prefer a fun transition into golf rather than jumping right into this highly intricate game.
VETS (AGES 10 TO 12) Beginner Recommended for students with limited golf experience. Instructors will focus on the fundamentals of the game like grip, aim, posture and body movement. This class will serve as a nice introduction to the game as we cover all the basics. Dates
