MOTION WORK We create animations that tell engaging stories for all kinds of audiences. Whether it’s a music video, book trailer, a complex product or an awareness campaign, our goal is to always entertain.


MOTION

Siemens Crystal ‘Did you know’ animation The Crystal is a Siemens initiative which is London’s newest landmark building and the world’s first center dedicated to improving our knowledge of urban sustainability. This ‘Did You Know’ animation was created to discuss issues facing the world’s cities and their ever expanding populations.

Greenpeace - ‘Save the Arctic’ animation We were really honoured to be asked by Greenpeace to create a video and website to tell the world about Shells plan to deal with the dodgy Russian oil company Gasprom to drill for oil in the Arctic. The video we created will be syndicated around the world and shared virally in the hope of exposing Shells Russian Arctic plans. As well as a video, we also created a microsite to house the campaign, that worked on desktop and mobile.


Frank Turner - ‘Recovery’ Music Video


Crush began life in the music industry designing record covers, so it’s great to come full circle and be asked to direct and produce music videos. First Light by Trapdoor Social is a pretty hard hitting track which depicts the horrors of war. Bullets fly, planes pass overheard, and soldiers stalk through undergrowth. However this dark tale has twist and the finale is worth the wait...

Bright Network - Website & Branding

To celebrate Canongate’s 40th birthday, Canongate commissioned 40 of their favourite authors to produce their musings, thoughts and ruminations on the number 40, and bound them all together in a beautiful new book for the occasion. We designed a fluid & intuitive site that showcases some of this content, from poetry readings, songs, new videos, cartoons and more. The site is built to keep on growing as the project gets bigger and bigger and is responsive across all platforms.

CAMPAIGNS CAMPAIGNS Working with some of the biggest companies in the world means that we really know how to visually communicate their brand personality. We do this through print, digital, event & environment and manage the whole process from idea generation to final production.


The Amazing World of Gumball Brand Guidelines & Design Assets The design team at Cartoon Network asked us to partner with them to create the first global brand guidelines for their smash hit show The Amazing World of Gumball. We developed a set of typographic styles for each of the characters, pattern sets, product compositions, two bespoke working fonts and the overall style-guide. The style-guide was then used to show potential licensees how they could apply the brand to any form of merchandise.

SpongeBob Squarepants - Styleguide & Photoshoot

Cartoon Network The Originals Look Book We directed and created a look book for Cartoon Network’s Originals, creating the look and feel, character compositions and photoshoot. The book highlights how brands can licence and apply the crazy original characters to create retro merchandise with attitude. Encased in a bespoke yellow envelope Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo and friends headed to Las Vegas for the International Licensing Expo.

Cathedral Group Circus Street Campaign An exciting new development in the heart of Brighton ‘Circus Street’, aims to be the most sustainable development in the city. Creating new educational and creative spaces for the University of Brighton and South East Dance, as well as new student homes, office and retail space. We have supported developers Cathedral Group by designing a strong and fresh brand identity, designed a website to promote upcoming events and information about the development, and produced all the printed collateral to date.

Jon Ronson Book Cover Series When renowned journalist and documentary maker, Jon Ronson, asked us to design a cover for the best seller ‘Psychopath Test’, we were thrilled. Using a psychedelic 60’s look and feel that speaks to Jon’s selfdeprecating Gonzo style of writing, what started as one book cover turned into the design of an entire series.

The Life of Pi - Book Cover Now internationally known thanks to the phenomenal success of the book and the excellent film, we tackled this cover for the paperback edition of ‘The Life of Pi’ by taking the central character, the ferocious ship-bound tiger, and bringing him to life in this beautiful illustration. One of our favourites, and a great read too.

ILLUSTRATION World Heart Federation - Go Red for Women Advertising Campaign The World Heart Federation, in partnership with UEFA, came together at the 2013 Women’s Euro to support the Go Red for Women campaign and its fight against cardiovascular disease, the number 1 killer of women. With the call to action “Make a healthy heart your goal”, we developed this campaign that encourages women and girls to lead an active, healthy lifestyle and practice sports such as football to help reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke.


GLUG GLUG We’re passionate about our industry and proud of what we do. For us, it’s all about celebrating truly collaborative creative process. That’s why we curate and host an event every couple of months called Glug Brighton. Glug brings together the finest creative talent against a backdrop of visually enriching surroundings and good tunes. It’s the chance to see our favourite creatives and upand-coming contemporaries give stimulating talks, make live art and host a whole range of inspiring interactive stuff before your eyes.
