THAT NO ONE SHOULD PERISH
THAT NO ONE SHOULD PERISH
Beneath the affluence of our society, there lies in many, a deep spiritual emptiness that has yet to be filled. Millions enter and leave this world without a chance to experience the love of God. On this note, every believer has the responsibility and privilege of being the bridge between those who do not yet know, and the eternal hope in Jesus Christ. THAT EVERYONE KNOWS SOMEONE WHO TRULY FOLLOWS JESUS Our vision is for Christians everywhere to be that someone who lives a transformed life for Jesus, and is used by the Lord to bring the reality of Jesus Christ to everyone, everywhere, and thus make spiritual impact in our city and around the world. Our dream is for those who cry out, to be lifted out of despair through that someone who will tell him of the hope that he can have in Jesus Christ. The Lord desires for none to perish, but for all to come to eternal life. At the cross, He proclaimed freedom, joy and hope. We are all bearers of that message.
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9 2
OUR HERITAGE
OUR HERITAGE
In 1951, Bill Bright, then a student at Fuller Theological Seminary, received a calling from the Lord to bring to the world the saving message of Jesus Christ. His motivation was simple: that everyone deserves to hear the saving message of Jesus Christ, and every Christian should know how to share the gospel. This marked the birth of Campus Crusade for Christ, which started as a movement in the University of California, Los Angeles. Today the organisation has a ministry presence in 191 countries. In 1972, the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ was established in Singapore, with just two staff workers ministering the gospel in the Toa Payoh housing estate.
Our organisation’s work has since expanded to the tertiary institutions, and now includes ministries in the marketplace and community. In 2013, Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ embraced its new identity as “Cru Singapore”. This change was motivated by our desire to remain relevant as a missions organisation in a changing global landscape. 4
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
REACH BOLDLY
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
We accomplish our mission through a three-fold process – by reaching boldly, building deeply and sending urgently.
REACH BOLDLY Through the various tools, methods and avenues that our staff and volunteers engage in, the Gospel message has been shared to hundreds of thousands in Singapore and beyond, on campuses, in the marketplace and within community groups. While the mode of communicating the Gospel has changed through the years from the Four Spiritual Laws in the 1970s, to literature distribution and outreach through social media today - the Message remains the same. Even so, millions around the world have yet to receive the Good News of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We hence endeavor to continue sharing the gospel to everyone, everywhere and in every way possible.
I gave a copy of your evangelistic magazine to one of my non-Christian staff. Guess what? She read it and also shared the magazine with her husband. The simple evidence and proof of Christ’s resurrection is very simply and well put in the magazine. It convicted her and her husband to start reading the Bible. My ministry in the workplace is to build into the lives of my staff and be there for them. Through journeying with her, she and her husband are now very open in seeking the truth through the Bible.” - Teo Wun Khi, donor
…by all means save some. 1 Corinthians 9:22 6
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
BUILD DEEPLY
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
BUILD DEEPLY Believers need to be built up, both their hearts and their hands. We endeavor to help every believer grow deep in Him, and empower them to share the Message. DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS • Bible study and group accountability • Outreach as a community TRAINING IN MINISTRY SKILLS • Conversational evangelism • Missions • Becoming effective marketplace witnesses • Women’s ministry SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT • Nine-month programme comprising of classroom equipping and practical field ministry “The resource provides opportunities for women to bond, affirm and encourage each other to move on in their mission with God. I will do this study with the 30 women ministers whom I am mentoring back home.” - Kay May (evangelist in Myanmar), after attending the introductory seminar to The Significant Woman study
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 8

SEND URGENTLY
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
SEND URGENTLY We are committed to send out missionaries both on short and longer term engagements to tell people about Jesus. Missionary work includes campus ministry, medical assistance, homeless and refugee ministry and assisting local churches in community service and outreach. SHORT TERM MISSION TRIPS
Teams are sent on short trips ranging from one week to a month
STINT
A one-year programme where participants join us full-time in the mission field
INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
Missionaries are sent to the field for three years or more
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things! Romans 10:14-15 10

CAMPUS MINISTRY
HOMEMAKERS MINISTRY
Our mission is to reach the 200,000 tertiary students in Singapore – the future leaders and influencers who will impact society and the next generation. We believe every student deserves to hear the message of God’s love and be in communities of multiplying disciples, where they can grow in the faith and bring God’s love to the nations.
Families are the building blocks of society. Recognizing the importance of building healthy families for healthy societies, this ministry works among homemakers to equip them to be a positive influence in their own families. Mums meet for small group Bible-study in homes and organize parenting seminars and outreach activities.

TRUTH LIVING MINISTRY
THE SIGNIFICANT WOMAN
Truth Living Ministry is the young professionals ministry of Cru Singapore. It seeks to come alongside Christian working adults and help them live out God’s Word in the power of the Holy Spirit and be an authentic marketplace minister. This is done through small group Bible-studies, personal mentoring, seminars for young graduates as well as vision trips.
The Significant Woman Ministry seeks to help women connect with God and discover their unique mission in God’s kingdom. We partner with women’s ministries from local churches to resource and train them in discipleship and evangelism. We conduct ongoing life and peer coaching groups, evangelistic gatherings and leadership training.

MEDIA MINISTRY
The mission of the Healthcare Ministry is to build ambassadors for Christ among healthcare professionals in Singapore and the nations. We work among medical, dental and nursing undergraduates, graduates and paramedical personnel. Through Bible-studies and medical mission trips, healthcare professionals can marry medicine with missions.
The Media Ministry is constantly looking for ways to equip and resource the Body of Christ. Our scope is the world, and our mandate the Great Commission. Through print publications, DVDs or workshops and seminars with local and overseas authors, we seek to provide the Christian community with life-changing resources for eternity.

Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38 16
