Martin Commons gets some spirit // M A RK E T I N G UP DAT E
If you haven’t been to Martin Commons recently, you might be in for a surprise. A frequent stop for many student athletes, Martin Commons was in need of a makeover that reflects the competitive spirit our athletes bring to Miami University. This was the perfect project for Andrew Rogers, a Communications Design major ‘20 and Lead Student Designer for Campus Services Marketing. Andrew utilized his talents to design the “Fight Song” artwork and also participate in the installation. This was a unique opportunity for a designer to see the project through from creation to implementation. Andrew says, “I am proud to have contributed to the spirit of Miami by visualizing the University’s fight song. The project was fun and collaborative while helping me build my skills as a designer. It was cool to also be included in the installation of the wall vinyl in Martin Dining hall. Rarely do designers get to see their work fully printed in such a fast paced work environment, and it was a pleasure helping put it up.” Andrew has been a Lead Student Graphic Designer for Campus Services for six months. His artwork has been displayed throughout Miami University. It would be nearly impossible to spend time on campus during the past six months and not have viewed his work. Andrew’s artwork and the other items you currently see in Martin are just the beginning. Be on the lookout for jerseys, equipment, and other sports memorabilia to make their way into Martin.

We aren’t done yet. Ongoing improvements to these websites will continue to be made. Some you may notice, others you may not. A dramatic redesign of the recreation site is currently in progress and many new features will be added to various other departments. Check back frequently!

You may have noticed a new look on several Campus Services websites. The Campus Services Marketing team has been hard at work revising each department website to align with the new Miami University template. When redesigning these sites, analytical data was the key factor in deciding what content would be placed on the site, and where it will live.
Ideally, we will highlight 5-10 events for the upcoming month. We are building a widget on the campus services website that will include all events for the month. The plan is to have a “View All Events” link to this section of the website.

One of the more dramatic transformations is The Marcum Hotel Website. The website now reflects The Marcum brand and guides the user to the end goal of booking a room. Updated photos and room information have been added, and a new and improved booking website has been implemented.
All of the social media accounts are active daily and feature a wide range of content. You can find a listing of all Campus Services Social Media and Blog accounts on the updated Campus Services website. It is a great place to see all of your hard work in action. Dining Hall Hacks
// FO O D & BEV ERAGE UPDATE With so much available in each dining commons, it can be overwhelming to take advantage of all your options. Registered Dietitian, Joanna Saba, is here to help.
