“Why use the free traffic method when I can just pay for traffic and be done with it?” Well, besides mentioning that this method is free – it is in fact a few strategies rolled into one. We mean that what you would be doing for free would be across multiple platforms therefore your content is wider spread on the internet. But it is all about strategically spreading your content. We don’t mean place a blog post here and copy and paste it into another blog platform somewhere else on the web. Although that helps we know the way to spread your content that it’s all linked. Linking each of the contents together is what is key. Right out the gate here we have to say that the free traffic method will take time. Don’t expect results in 3,4 or maybe even 5 months of posting your content. In internet marketing you pay with three things. Time, money or both. The free traffic method you pay with time. But it needs doing anyway! If you want traffic near enough immediately then you can get a paid for service (which we will touch on in the next post). But still do the free traffic method – even if you’re paying for traffic. Because the more traffic streams the merrier right? Okay – Here we go…
THE FREE TRAFFIC METHOD EXPLAINED What’s involved: 1. Good quality content 2. That is Optimised 3. That is regularly updated with new content 4. That is linked with YouTube 5. That is linked with a relevant forum 6. That is linked with a classified ads website. Woah – 6 on that list; that’s a biggen eh? No, not really. We’re just outlining the ‘anchor points’ of where there are ‘eyeballs‘ and then your ‘link‘ will direct them all to the same place – Your website (a relevant place on your website, remember about congruency). So the free traffic method explained in order: 1. Make the content relevant. Write what people are looking for. Write what you’ve experienced. Write what works and what doesn’t in your experience. Be sure to give as much value to the visitor/reader as possible. 2. Okay so we’ve got our content down but it needs optimising. Now although this is #2 on the list, it really should be #1. Reason being, before you start writing your content, you must first research your keywords! Keywords is a technique that requires it’s own post but you will be ready for that soon. Adding your keywords to images and insert a video much like we do here on clickstartyourbusiness.com. 3.Blogging regularly will enhance your online presence over time providing you ‘optimise‘ the content. You will need to blog continuously. But when you get to a level where your marketing budget has increased – you can ‘outsource‘ your blogging. Outsourcing is a post in itself and you will get to that point soon. But the definition has been linked to it so go ahead and click it if you’re unsure. 4. Creating a Google/YouTube account – by doing this you can ‘ verify‘ your website and gives you little edge over websites that aren’t verified by Google. The beauty of verifying your website with Google/YouTube (Google own YouTube so a Google account is a YouTube account) you can link your website with your videos in the way of pop up boxes on the screen. 5. Register with a forum that is relevant to your niche and content. Searching the forum for what your blog post is about is a great way to see who is looking for information in that topic. Chat to members and create a relationship with them – If you have information that they are looking for then you can introduce them to your content, you can lead these new ‘friends’ and show them the ropes for them to get up and running for themselves. Link your website in your posts by a strategic conversation – also put a link in your ‘signature‘ so that every comment you make your website link is posted automatically. 6. You can post ads in classified websites such as craigslist, vivastreet or gumtree. You can do this for free but they’re really strict on the links you enter so there is a sneaky way you can get them posted – we can show you how of course! Classifieds would require for you to ‘mask‘ your links. Because they just don’t like them. Be real on classified though. There is alot of scams and rubbish posted on there but you do get some authentic traffic coming from it which you shouldn’t turn your nose up at. So we hope that this gave you some ideas how you can really utilise different places on the web and have what’s called ‘backlinks‘ that really helps your SEO.
