The best way to use Google Keyword Planner would be once you’ve identified your market you then will proceed to write a blog post to that market. You then promote that content using social media and the other repurposing resources that we’ve mentioned in the repurposing post. But repurposing is for later – first you must have content. When writing your blog post you need to include the ‘keywords’ to be sure that your blog post will be in the results pages of the given search term. In this case for this post we are going to be using a search term “the best way to use google keyword planner”. This will be explained.

For example -

In this blog post, our target market is decided and is for those who have learnt a little about internet marketing and would like to know the best way to use google keyword planner. I know that this information is sought after because we were looking for it (once upon a time).

This post will bring value to the readers. It is firstly a ‘shortcut’ on the learning curve to writing blog posts – when you know this information the writing of blog posts will become systematic adhering to what the search engines are looking for (in this case Google).

It’s simple when you know how but without doing a keyword research – your hard work in creating a blog post would be useless unless anyone finds it. But finding it would initially be very difficult for them if there was no keyword research done beforehand, therefore you must know the best way to use google keyword planner. This post will explain on how you can get your content in front those that are looking for it.

The points in this post will help you massively.

What is a keyword?

The keyword is a search term that would be typed into Google (or any other search engine). There are two types of keyword. 1. Short tail keyword & 2. Long tail keyword.

Sounds obvious but with the correct knowhow, you can totally sit back in the knowledge that when your website is becoming an authority site, your page will get ‘ranked’.

Short tail Keywords.

They are what they sound like. They’re short.

For example:

The searcher will want to look for information about using Google Keyword Planner.

The searcher can type into the Google search bar “Google Keyword Planner” using only those words. This is ‘short tail keyword’ because minimal information is given here. The searcher will have millions of pages for him or her to read through. His/her search is very vague. Google will of course accommodate and bring up the best ranked webpage for him/her to read. (This is obviously Google Keyword Planner page itself first then all relevant blog posts and articles that may contain the words “Google Keyword Planner”.

Long tail Keywords.

Again, they’re what they sound like. They’re longer and more accurate.

The searcher will want to look for information about “the best way to use google keyword planner”.

The searcher then will search for a more in depth search typing into the Google search bar something along the lines of:

“Best way to use Google Keyword Planner” or “Most effective use of Google Keyword Planner” or “How to use Google Keyword Planner” or something that contains the words “Google Keyword Planner” but also has an element added to the beginning or the end to make into a question.

This is Long tail Keyword. This is what we will all be using. Short tail keywords are vague and have the searcher sifting through millions (no exaggeration) of pages looking for the information. Long tail Keywords will result in a more defined search results.

The point here is to get your information in front of the searcher who is looking for material that you’ve written previously. So for this post, we have executed a screen recorded ‘keyword research’ using Google Keyword Planner prior to writing this post. This obviously helps in getting the page ranked.

The specific long tail keyword we have researched, as mentioned, is: “the best way to use google keyword planner”.

The reason for this choice of words will be explained in both the video on this post and in the copy. (Copy being the marketing term for written text).

So-

In the google search bar, if you type in – the best way to use google keyword planner – you will be inundated with pages that contain the words as some point in a post that has been long existing or is ranking highly because of how content is being updated (on the site google has ranked to be listed on the first page) regularly. (Search engines love how content is being added regularly).

By just typing in - the best way to use google keyword planner – you will presented with 2,620,000 results (at the time of writing this post). The reason for this as stated above it that google has found content on the internet that contains the words – the best way to use google keyword planner – and 2,620,000 of the sites on the internet contain the words – the, best, way, to, use, google, keyword and planner somewhere on the site.

To go through 2,620,000 pages could take some time, we’re sure you’ll agree.

The trick is to hone in on just those words in the order the sentence determines. In other words as the sentence is presented – the best way to use google keyword planner.

To hone in on this sentence and this sentence only is to enter into the Google search bar – the sentence into quote marks like this “the best way to use google keyword planner”.

By doing this you get a different result. Much different. In this case the results found is 3. That is right. 3 pages on the internet has the sentence “the best way to use google keyword planner”. This is music to our ears! This means that this valid search term which could easily be searched by many people looking to use the google keyword planner for their keyword research and will type it as it reads – “the best way to use google keyword planner”.

The reason why this is so great, is because you would’t have so much competition around that search term. Although there is a little more to doing a keyword research which we will explain later in this post, this is the basis of which we are doing a keyword research. To be sure we aren’t writing content that will get lost in amongst the 2,620,000 sites that has these keywords in their content.

Further to just typing into the Google search bar – you will have to see how many searches are actually being made using those keywords. This is better explained in the video but to complement it and for those that prefer to read we shall explain!

The benefits of using google keyword planner is that it shows you how many searches are being done by the users of Google for that set of keywords.

Typically the numbers you would need to see in order for your keywords to be optimised quickly would be 100-150 searches per month, this is seen in the keyword planner and the number of sites that have these keywords in we mentioned earlier on the sites on google are in the search results page. Again this is best explained in the video.

Also worth noting would be to include in the post the ‘relevant searches to’ part at the bottom of the search results page. This should be included as Google seems to like related searches within the content. This would need tactically structuring sentences that would include them into the post without it reading or sounding odd or out of place. For the sake of example I shall include the list of what appears then structure them into sentences that would have them sounding relevant.

Of course we would need to keep the reader from being confused and overwhelming them with information that is relevant but with practice this will become easier – as does anything. Keep on practicing and you will master. We promise.

So -

At the bottom of the search results page when searching for “the best way to use google keyword planner” this list was at the bottom:

how to use google keyword planner 2015 how to use google keyword planner for keyword research how to use google keyword planner for seo how to use google keyword planner for free how to use google keyword planner tool google keyword planner alternative google keyword planner api google keyword planner without campaign

To get an idea how to incorporate any of these I would look for any part of the copy that would be relevant to this list and then simply add a sentence that included these searched keywords.

For example -

Earlier in this post we wrote -

“Long tail Keywords.

Again, they’re what they sound like. They’re longer and more accurate.

The searcher will want to look for information about “the best way to use google keyword planner”.

The searcher then will search for a more in depth search typing into the Google search bar something along the lines of:

“Best way to use Google Keyword Planner” or “Most effective use of Google Keyword Planner” or “How to use Google Keyword Planner” or something that contains the words “Google Keyword Planner” but also has an

element added to the beginning or the end to make into a question.”

I would incorporate the list at the end of the one above i.e

“Best way to use Google Keyword Planner” or “Most effective use of Google Keyword Planner” or “How to use Google Keyword Planner” or “how to use google keyword planner 2015” or “how to use google keyword planner for keyword research” or “how to use google keyword planner for seo” or “how to use google keyword planner for free” or “how to use google keyword planner tool” or “google keyword planner alternative” or “google keyword planner api” or “google keyword planner without campaign” or something that contains the words “Google Keyword Planner” but also has an element added to the beginning or the end to make into a question.”

Not very creative I know but I’m sure you get the idea on what we are talking about here. Just get the other ‘related searches’ into the post somehow. We’ve just done it as we have for the sake of brevity. Usually there would be a more creative and cohesive incorporation of the related searches.

Other points of using keywords in your post that are imperative would be:

1. In the title 2. In a H2 tag 3. In different formats – in bold, in italics 4. In the alternate text of an image relative to the post 5. In the first sentence of the post 6. In the last sentence of the post

These are all an absolute must to ‘optimise’ your blog post or article for SEO.

So there you have it. This is how to build on your blog posts optimised for Google and truly master how the best way to use google keyword planner.
