It has been refurbished and decorated by the current owners to an exacting standard throughout with the downstairs accommodation maximising light and space. The oak front door opens into a welcoming entrance hall with a beautiful oak floor and feature internal window, allowing light to flood in from the sitting room. This room, originally the main shop area hence the high ceilings and large windows, is triple aspect with shutters to all windows and bench seats enjoying views over the common. The focal point of this lovely room is a Portuguese limestone fireplace with slate hearth, housing a log burning stove. The 'hub of the house' is most definitely the stylish kitchen/ dining room. There is an integrated dishwasher, double fridge/freezer and one and half bowl sink plus storage cupboards with marble shelves for food preparation. The dining space presents ample room for a large table with French doors opening onto the rear terrace. From here you access a double aspect snug, which could potentially be used as a guest room with the option to add an adjoining door to the downstairs shower room. Also downstairs is a good size utility room with stainless steel sink, built in Edwardian-style clothes airer and adjacent contemporary shower room. A wide turning staircase rises from the dining/kitchen to the first floor accommodation comprising three double bedrooms, one with en-suite, a family bathroom and study. The master bedroom enjoys views across the common towards Hascombe Hill and is furnished with fitted wardrobes in washed pine to one wall. The chic en-suite bathroom has an oak floor and is furnished with a contemporary Bette white suite comprising bath, basin and lavatory. Bedroom two and bedroom three are both double rooms with the third bedroom benefitting from an adjacent study with built in storage. The stylish family bathroom comprises a contemporary white Bette suite made up of bath, with oak surround, and Victorian style tap with hand-held shower; there is a separate shower cubicle with cloud head shower, lavatory and basin. An adjoining storage area provides useful space for all those bits and pieces you never know where to hide.
