Commissioned by Mountview, Gidea Park is a world premiere from Dan Murphy (A Local Boy, Carry On Jaywick). Two girls have gone missing in Gidea Park. The police search commences, journalists arrive to stir the pot, and the heart of this Essex suburb is fractured.
Hannah Joss trained at Mountview. She was recently Baylis Assistant Director for Woyzeck at The Old Vic and directs award winning sketch comedy group Mixed Doubles.

Playwright David Greig (The Events) has placed himself in the centre of this play. Set on a plane about to land in San Diego, threads of narrative swirl together in his head as the plane, the city and the inhabitants of both occupy his subconscious.
Richard Cant is a prolific stage and screen actor who has worked at the National Theatre, the RSC, Cheek by Jowl and the

Mountview’s Actor Musicians perform Shakespeare’s calamitous comedy. Two sets of twins, each with the same name, in a town known for trickery. What could possibly go wrong? This is farce at its best with a sprinkling of chaos.
Rachel Bagshaw trained at Mountview and has directed at the Royal Court, the Almeida and at the Young Vic. She recently worked with acclaimed theatre maker Chris Thorpe on The Shape of Pain at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

West End star Julie Atherton (Avenue Q, The Last 5 Years) directs this glitzy musical caper in which two conmen contend to scam wealthy women at the local casino. The decadence of the French Riviera lends an ideal backdrop as the competition heats up and the scoundrels risk being outfoxed.
Julie Atherton trained at Mountview and is a hugely successful West End performer with leading roles in shows including Mamma Mia, Sister Act and Fame. She has

A Countess falls in love with a page, who falls in love with his Duke, who loves the Countess. But the page is in fact a young woman, separated from her twin by shipwreck. Meanwhile, servants and hangers-on are making mischief. Renowned Shakespearean actor Andrew Jarvis directs this masterclass in bittersweet comedy.
Among many other credits, Andrew Jarvis acted with the RSC for ten years, at the ESC for five. He is on the board of the British Shakespeare Association and is a former Head of Postgraduate Performance at Mountview.

Support our Students
“It is vital that we invest in the next generation of actors, musical theatre performers, directors and writers. Mountview’s bursary scheme does just that.” Dame Judi Dench, President of Mountview Mountview is committed to recruiting students regardless of their background or income. Alongside our annual auditions we partner with arts organisations across the UK, forming a national scouting network to offer free auditions to talented candidates who cannot otherwise afford to apply. Once at Mountview, half our undergraduate students receive a bursary and our Student Hardship Fund ensures that there is support available for every student who needs it. We rely on continued funding from generous individuals, Trusts and Foundations to maintain this support and ensure every student is able to complete their training.
How you can help The cost of fees, equipment and materials can be prohibitive for students. Donations of any size can help students purchase essential equipment: £20 could buy a pair of jazz shoes for a Musical Theatre student £100 could contribute towards an Acting student’s library of scripts and text books £500 could provide a graduating student with professional resources including headshots Donate today by visiting mountview.org.uk/support-us For more information contact Jessie Coller 020 8829 1078 · jessiecoller@mountview.org.uk 13
Mountview is moving
We are embarking on a bold project to create a new home for Mountview in the heart of Peckham in south London. The world-class facilities will reflect the high standard of our training and reputation and will bring all our departments under one roof for the first time. The new building will include a 200-seat main house and 80-seat studio theatre, dance, acting, TV and radio studios, music practice rooms, production workshops and a cafĂŠ bar. Professional and community groups will be able to use the facilities with special rates for charity and not-for-profit groups.
