MOUNTVIEW – EXCELLENCE, ACCESS AND INNOVATION We are one of the UK’s top drama schools. We deliver the most pertinent training for an everchanging industry. We are committed to training the most talented people regardless of background or income. We work in collaboration with the finest established and emerging creative practitioners to create challenging new work. In 2015 we celebrated our 70th
anniversary. To safeguard our future we are planning a new unified school and theatre in the heart of Peckham in south London. The new home will befit the quality of our training, allow us to expand our outreach programmes and include studio and rehearsal spaces for professional and community groups. Our hardship fund helps students with severe financial difficulties pay for vital costs related to their training. If you would like to support this fund please visit MOUNTVIEW.ORG.UK/SUPPORTUS

For the first time, performers from Mountview’s Acting and Musical Theatre courses unite in this world premiere by Roy Williams. It’s 1976, there’s a heatwave, and everyone’s heading to Carnival. But staff at Buster’s burger bar are stuck with another working day dreaming of a better life and auditioning for TV’s New Faces, all to a soundtrack of 70’s soul classics. Tinuke Craig is an Associate Director at the Gate Theatre and 2014 winner of the Genesis Future Directors Award. She is currently staff director on wonder.land (National Theatre) and recent directing credits include dirty butterfly (Young Vic) and Waiting for Lefty (Theatre Royal Haymarket). Stephen Jameson is Principal and Artistic Director at Mountview.

#FanaticalMV Fanatical is being developed by The Stable (www.thestablemusicals.co.uk), who are delighted that Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts is presenting this original work.
Angel 8 is a cult science fiction TV show. It’s also a lifestyle. To the fans gathered at the first ever Angel 8 convention, it’s everything. But when the unthinkable happens during the keynote address, this group of lovable misfits must band together to prove that no power in the universe can keep a story from its fans. Performed by Mountview’s graduating Acting students, Fanatical is a brand new musical from The Stable. Lotte Wakeham is the associate director of Matilda the Musical (West End/ Broadway). Her recent credits include The Buskers Opera (Park Theatre) and Rumpelstiltskin (Theatre Royal Bath/MAC Belfast).

Caesar must die. As the conspirators plot we must decide whether this assassination is justified. Is it sacrifice or butchery? Shakespeare’s most morally ambivalent play presents a dangerous game of chess played out with people’s lives. At the end of the day it’s not about right, it’s not about wrong. It’s about power. Polina Kalinina trained at the Orange Tree Theatre and was Associate Director at the Actors Touring Company. Recent directing credits include Playboy of the Western World (Southwark Playhouse) Romeo and Juliet (Tobacco Factory & tour) and Overruled (Old Red Lion).
