Tene is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA, where she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While in college, she became the Controller overseeing a $2 million budget of a major Los Angeles Arts festival that boasted annual attendance of over 10,000 visitors and continued to lend her expertise for almost a decade to the nonprofit organization. She was also a fellow in the UCLA Anderson School of Management Riordan Fellows MBA Program, developed and founded by former LA Mayor Richard Riordan, which seeks to prepare individuals for leadership positions in the business community. As a graduate of Leadership Houston Class XXVIII, the City’s pre-eminent organization dedicated to identifying and developing leaders’ representative of Greater Houston, she has joined the alumni of an impressive network of business and civic leaders. She is committed to giving back to the broader community and served as the Treasurer and Finance Chair for the National Kidney Foundation of Southeast Texas for four years. Most recently, Tene contributed her expertise to business students at Texas Southern University for several years as an expert panelist for the Greater Houston Area Leadership Skills Development Program.
