LaToshia Norwood, PMP

L

aToshia Nor wood is the managing partner of L’Renee & Associates, a project management consultancy firm that supports high-performing organizations by recruiting project managers, providing project management training and consulting for professionals from the C-suite to the front desk. With over 20 years of experience, Norwood has a successful track record of managing accounts and leading complex multi-million dollar projects. Under Norwood’s leadership, L’Renee & Associates has worked with several of the world’s largest companies in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors and has provided free capacity building workshops for aspiring and existing business owners. Norwood takes great pride in leveraging her expertise to help business professionals shift from a “winging it” approach to executing a well-developed strategic plan. In 2016, Norwood founded “She Said. She Led. She Is.”, an organization committed to empowering and celebrating women, providing high-quality programming, connecting them to resources and helping them become audacious business leaders. Since its inception, Norwood has hosted women’s conferences and capacity building workshops serving over 400 women, and sponsors an annual “Game Changers” awards campaign that highlights the accomplishments of women CEOs who are changing the game in her industry, in celebration National Women’s Small Business Month. Norwood also hosts an awards reception called “Extraordinary Women Making History” which honors City of Houston women leaders and CEO women business leaders in celebration of National Women’s History Month. Norwood is a 2020 MBA candidate at Texas Woman’s University and holds a Bachelor of Science in education from Prairie View A&M University. She has earned the global Project Management Professional

credential, the most recognized certification for project managers. She is a recipient of the Leadership Houston Patrice Johnson Award, the HMSDC Emerging 10 Award, Greater Black Houston Chamber Pinnacle Award finalist, Small Business Today Cover honoree and has earned several other awards for professional excellence. Norwood serves as a board member of the Project Management Institute Houston Chapter, which is the oldest and one of the largest PMI chapters in the world. She currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and is the VicePresident-elect for Internal Operations. In addition, she also serves a lead corporate project management trainer for Houston

Community College, chair of the HMSDC Education Committee, industry champion for the Greater Houston Black Chamber and consultant for the Houston Area Urban League. She is a member of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber, Greater Houston Black Chamber, Leadership Houston Class XXXIII, the Junior League of Houston Stainer Club and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
