omen are strongest when they cheer on other women— that is what we are doing through Top 30 Influential Women of Houston -- celebrating women who have spent their lives working not only to better themselves but to pave the way for other women. Our honorees work in professions all across the board, and each one of them has decided to maximize their set of skills and gifts to break down barriers and successfully establish themselves. Each year I have the honor of hosting this event, and each year I am just as honored and empowered by the diverse and distinguished group of women we get to celebrate. Despite the challenges women face in the workforce, our honorees have dedicated themselves to building a better community and paving the way for the next generation of women leaders. For 20 years, d-mars.com has continued its mission to inspire, inform and educate the community, and this year’s group of honorees truly embodies that same mission. Their goal to inspire others is evident in their extensive and impressive resumes. By recognizing these women and their achievements, we are able to show young women in this city and across the world that being successful is possible for anyone. It is my honor to recognize and celebrate these passionate, determined and inspirational women in one of the largest and most diverse cities in the nation. very year it is an honor to recognize and celebrate a group of influential women who represent the true meaning of sisterhood and have a desire to influence and inspire those around them. These women are from diverse backgrounds and have different beliefs, but they have all made the decision to shatter glass ceilings, break down barriers and serve as role models for the next generation of female leaders. Even with all the success the Top 30 Women have attained, they refuse to rest on their laurels, but continue to strive towards greatness. Words cannot express how proud I am to live among these influential women in the great city of Houston. They embody the spirit of community and serve as shining examples of what women can accomplish when they support each other. They took calculated risks, believed in their abilities and embraced change. Today, we salute you. Sincerely, Kimberly Floyd Chief Operating Officer and Managing Editor Vaskey Media Group, Inc.
