Dannette has served as Principal at Kay Davis Associates for twelve (12) years where she oversees her company’s day to day operations. The work includes the management of her full time staff and outsourced construction Project/Move management projects and personnel. The firm offers Space planning, Design services, as well as Contract Furniture Fixture & Equipment Sales and Consulting. “Ours is a niche PM service”, states Davis. She has over thirty (30) years experience in the construction industry specializing in facilities planning and management which include her position as the Owner’s Representative and Assistant Director of Construction at Texas Southern University for over 18 years. Currently, KDA is working on several projects with clients of long standing relationships to include the EIJ Replacement Hospital where her firm serves as the Furniture Consultant and General Purchaser working with Corgan Architects. She recently completed the Houston BBVA Dynamo Stadium, fifteen (15) facilities for HCCS and several buildings for Texas A&M University where she served in the capacity as FFE Consultant and/or General Purchaser for each of the clients. The firm’s showroom is a unique space for small events and showcasing new product. She has an excellent staff and believes in the team approach to problem solving. Dannette has creative interests as well, serving as founder and CEO of Insight Production Company, a unique corporate training and performance arts troupe launched three (3) years ago and in her spare time works diligently with Mostly Greens, an organic products company founded by her husband. As an active community servant, Davis served on the boards of the Greater Houston Black Chamber, Angelle’s Project, two HISD Charter Schools and founded Kingdom Players Theatre Ministry eight (8) years ago at Windsor Village UMC. She is an active member of the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council and International Facility Management Association.

Davis holds a Bachelor of Telecommunications from Texas Southern University and has completed Master’s work in Construction Management from the University of Houston. Davis is married to Edwin H. Davis and together they have three (3) delightful adult children, Chelsea M. McElroy-Jenkins, Mitchell R. McElroy and Forrest H. Davis.
