OFFICER TRAINING
CONFERENCE Other than all the fun team bonding activities and insight speakers, the Officer Training Conference was a great experience. Surprising our Lieutenant Governor and spreading our division spirit, the officers collaboratively learned more than their positions. Officers were given special lectures on formalities, positivity, and individualized life skills all while learning about their position. In a beautifully designed Star Wars themed pamphlet, the day was organized down to the minute to optimize time management and utilize as many bee puns as possible! The members are now more acquainted with new officers, new responsibilities, and renewed spirit. In preparation for the fall rally, the group ended loudly singing cheers from the in which the Bring It On cast would attack us for> “I said:Brr...it’s cold in here, there must be some polar bears (originally Clovers) in the atmosphere!” Regardless, the OTC was a successful event that prepared the Division 6 South for a great event! CLUBS SUMMER
MEETINGS HERITAGE Heritage Key Club is taking summer to relax and prepare. Meanwhile, the officers meet and discuss the plan for the 2016-2017 term and how we can avoid the usual burnout. We have a lot of changes that we hope to implement into the club that will improve member involvement and interest. Although attendance at recent events has been low, we have taken the time to reflect why and how we can fix the problems, so members can look forward to a revamped committee system and some other tweaks next year. CHAPARRAL As we get ready for the upcoming school year, the officer board of Chaparral High School have been planning out events in a general sense for the fall and including fundraisers and a clothing drive! We look forward to the next year and hope all is well. Written by: Cindy Tsai|Chaparral Editor
RANCHO VERDE
SUMMER BBQ SOCIAL
This month Rancho Verde had our first club social for the term! It was held at Celebration Park, Moreno Valley and all of us had fun. Our Lieutenant Governor, Ricky Ta, served us Hot Dogs and Burgers with Lemonade made by our Club Secretary, Zuri and her brother, Daniel Inzunza. The whole event was full of fun activities, such as Badminton and Volleyball. However, the spotlight was definitely on Water Balloon Fights and tosses and pretty much everyone was soaked! As a way to close the event, we had Pie the Officer. Where member can pay for a dollar and throw some cream to the officers. With the money we made is going to PTP. Overall, we had a successful social and hope to make the next one as fun if not more. Written by Kady Lam|Rancho Verde Editor
