First Blood Drive of the Year | Paloma Valley Written by Allison Acuna, Paloma This year’s first annual blood drive was held on Tuesday September

23, 2014.All blood drives are a great way to get all Key Club members involved, and to be able to show non-members a little bit of what Key Club does. There

is a variety of different positions to work, some being hand holder, canteen, or signing people in.

With each blood drive hosted, Key Club members have the opportunity to earn community service hours in a fun and easy way. It is a good taste of future community service events that will be held, and an all-around fun experience.

Bigger Key Club, More to Know | written by Cindy Gallegos, Heritage Region Training Conference is a meeting with the whole Region!

Region 4’s training conference was held at Paloma Valley High School on October 4th. This was the perfect time to teach new members about Key Club and what it has to offer! There were various workshops; like how to be a better officer, member, more spirited, and many more! Without workshops, our members, and maybe even our officers, would not be informed about the duties in this wonderful club. People would not have understood how big we are, and how much Key Club impacts the world with the simplest things that we and other clubs, divisions, regions, and districts do. There is so much Key Club can offer to a person and the world, that amazes even me, that I am a part of this organization, and how much more I find out what I am getting into. I hope that the new members will realize their love for this club as I did, and continue to spread goodness and make valuable friends when they are in Key Club.

 It is a fundraiser for our district charity, the Pediatric Trauma Program.  Ride rollercoasters and other rides at Six Flags!  CHEERING YOUR HEART OUT AT THE RALLY!  Participate in the Fall Rally Auction where your division bids on Lt. Governors or District Officers.  Meet many CNH BEES!  Having random people asking, “HOW DO YOU FEEL?”  Support Division 6 South and help win spirit stick  To bee inspired

Here are the dates to look out for:  Members: o Haven’t turned in your dues? Turn your dues by November 14th  Clubs: o November 1st (RECEIVED BY): This is the date for early bird and it is highly encouraged that your club dues are received by then. o December 1st (RECEIVED BY): This is the last date before you are considered late on submitting your dues. PTP Grant 

This grant is provided by the CNH District, and clubs can only receive up to $250 in funds. There is no deadline for this grant, so I highly suggest you have your treasurer start on the application. There are several requirements so make sure you contain each part before sending in the application. I have attached the application form below.

After raising money for Pediatric Trauma Program for the Fall Rally Auction, remember to complete the following steps: 1. Write a check payable to Cali-Nev-Ha Key Club. Indicate division and club name in the memo line.

3. The deadline for mailed donations that will count towards Fall Rally is received by November 8th for Fall Rally South.

After fundraising, having collected donations, and putting those donations in ASB or bookkeeper account, complete the following to send the money in:  STEP 1: Write a check!  Being in this organization provides us with so many great opportunities and one for seniors is scholarships. After devoting themselves to this amazing organization for 4 years, they deserve their recognition. I encourage graduating seniors to apply for this scholarship.
