Secretary's

Hello!! I’m Diana, an upcoming junior and your next term's secretary. I am exceedingly excited for this upcoming term. Hopefully next term will surpass last term by making improvements that will help our club build on. A goal that I created and have the ambition to achieve is getting a diamond distinguished club two years in a row I know that will not be an easy task and take the whole board's effort but I have confidence that we can attain this. Another goal for me is to raise more awareness about this organization. Honestly I think if more people are informed what key club is they would be more interested to join. I am eager to see what this new team will bring us!!

Treasurer's

hello my name is lauren hoang and i will be serving as your treasurer for the upcoming term! This year, I am excited to work closely with the board to make key club more fun and engaging. I hope to set a new fundraising goal to cover more costs for dcon and donate more money to ptp. Having the opportunity to raise money for good causes is rewarding, so I will put my greatest efforts this term when managing pgkc funds.

KIWANIS CARNITAS FEED KIWANIS CARNITAS FEED laguna-elk grove kiwani’ s annual event

Haylie Nguyen Diana Torres

During the Kiwanis Carnitas Feed on Saturday May fourth, members and officers help set up the decorations for the event. The Kiwanis were super nice and helpful in instructing us. Pleasant Grove and other clubs helped set up tables, balloons, and banners. This fundraiser was a great way for people to celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend as it was decorated with Mexican themed decor, including piñatas, papel picado, and serapes. The funds of the event help contribute to countless programs and services supported by Kiwanis, even some of the tips of the event went to key clubs if they were a server. Overall this service event was enjoyable to help out the Laguna-Elk Grove Kiwanis and collaborate with other clubs.

UNDER THE SEA-LYMPICS + UNDER THE SEA-LYMPICS + MAY DCM MAY DCM

welcoming the 24-25 term with a splash

On a day of sunny afternoon PGKC got to join Division 7 South for the first DCM of the year, May DCM. I went with the new board to the park and saw many keyclubbers joining together for DCM. First I got to see the new DLT and transferred into water games. The first game was water balloon toss which I got water balloon popped on me. On a hot weather, water games allowed me to cool down! For the second game, I played the water bucket race which I had fun bindings with my group. Lastly we had time to toss water balloons and do water bucket for the new DLT which allowed key clubbers to create more interaction and fun bindings with DLT! Overall it was a great experience since I got to start a new term strong with my fellow key clubbers!

OPEN HOUSE OPEN HOUSE

laguna-elk grove kiwani‘ s very first open house

s

On Wednesday, May 15th, the Laguna-Elk Grove Kiwanis held their very first open house! During this event, many came to learn more about the Kiwanis club and what they could do to help out their community. From students in Key Club, to those from Visions in Motion, as well as general attendees, there were a variety of groups that were interested. During the event, we were taught about what we could do for the community around us, what the Kiwanians do as part of their organization, and about the stories and the experiences Kiwanians had as a part of their program. We were also given some insight into the other Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs such as Aktion Club, Builders Club, Circle K International, and more. In addition to this, IP officers from two of the Laguna-Elk Grove Kiwanis sponsored Key Clubs got recognized for their efforts and dedication!
