FROM THE editor!
What's up D7W! I hope you are all still staying safe and taking care of yourself throughout this time. Because cases have risen again, the possibilities of seeing each other soon may be longer than we thought. But nonetheless, we still have many service opportunities, online events, and ways to stay active within our club! Also, huge thanks to everyone who joined the Let it Grow TC last month! It was fun getting to talk to each other and meet up through Discord. More info about our last meeting will be found in River City's service spotlight page. Please don't forget to submit articles and visuals to me so your club can be highlighted in the newsletter! Lastly, I urge you to all continue educating yourself and others about the issues that are still prevalent in our world. I have put online resources in this newsletter that everyone can access and use. 3

FROM THE ltg!
Hey Ghoulies! It has definitely been a very busy month so far, and I am so proud of each and every one of you for still leading with great spirit! Unfortunately, as more businesses and events are rolling back, we may not see each other in person for longer than we thought. However, I know that will not stop us from serving our home, school and community. Thank you to everyone who attended Let It Grow-TC! In total, 136 bees, monsters, and ghosts logged into the Region Sweet 16 Discord. I am very proud of the amazing participation you all have demonstrated even during these times. Please look forward to our July DCM, too! Be sure to log into Zoom on July 25th from 11 AM to noon to stay updated on club and division events. The Meeting ID is 269-145-1038 and the password is 072744. I hope I’ll see you all there! Your Lieutenant Governor, 4

WEEKLY REMINDERS
These weekly reminders are our club’s way of encouraging members to stay healthy while they spend more time indoors. We post different graphics that include self care ideas for members to focus on during that week. Since we cannot gather at the moment, we would like to find safe ways to be involved with our club.

cards for hospitalized kids
We have partnered with Sacramento Blankets for Sacramento Kids to allow our members the opportunity to help children in need of comfort by making blankets! Sacramento Blankets for Sacramento Kids is a project that began 23 years ago. They are a wonderful cause, providing children going through a difficult time with comfort and warmth in the form of blankets. In their homes, our club members can put their knitting, quilting, crocheting, or sewing talents to use by providing handmade, warm blankets for children in need, while earning service hours and additionally finding a way to pass the time. Like our other service opportunities, this event is available until the beginning of August which lets our members work on their blankets without much time pressure!

On June 22nd we announced many service events our club members may complete in their very own homes while quarantine continues to take place! One of these service events is making cards for kids in hospitals. We partnered with Brookdale Hospice to help our members find a way to demonstrate their heart in service despite the inability to see each other in person. Through kind and positive notes or cards, we show our support and love to these hospitalized kids. This event is still ongoing and will last until the beginning of August, allowing for our members to take all the time they need to create as many cards as possible!
