During the month of August, Mark Keppel Key Club members wanted to become active while earning money for a charity of their choice. In the midst of a pandemic, we figured that we should try to go out a little more and enjoy the fresh air. A better way to enjoy that fresh air would have to be earning money for a charity of their choice while being active outside. This service opportunity aims to give members a chance to really go outside and maintain their physical health by walking, running, biking, and other activities, all while earning money for a charity of their choice. The Charity Miles app has multiple charities that members can choose from and it provides a way for members to donate to those charities without having to put in their own money. For every 5 miles that a member achieved, they were able to earn an hour of service.
