CNH|KEY CLUB

What's up Division 13 South? My name is Daniel Le and I am very excited to be serving as your Division News Editor for the 2020-2021 term! Currently I am a junior at Bellflower High School and I have been a member of Key Club International since my freshman year! I previously served as historian for the '18-'19 term and vice president for the '19-'20 term for my home club. Currently I serve as president for Bellflower Key Club! If you didn't know, I also previously served as your Division Technology Editor for the '19-'20 term. Right now, we are in stressful times and sadly it is difficult for us to bond together as a division, but I still hope to see you all at our zoom DCM's and hope you're all participating in our at home service events! It is only the beginning of the term! Continue social distancing and we will once again be reunited! Continue to take the initiative and serve within your homes! I am very excited to be spending my last year in Key Club as your Division News Editor, a position I never would have ever seen myself in 3 years ago. Be on the lookout for Publicity Committee and Spirit Team applications as they'll be coming out very soon! If you want to be included in the newsletter, make sure to submit your articles and visuals to d13s.cnhkc.dne@gmail.com! Kickin’ for Service,

HIYA Ninjas! My name is Vyanh Tran and I proudly serve as your Lieutenant Governor for the 2020-2021 Term! First off, I would like to express the utmost gratitude and appreciation toward all my fellow ninjas during this time of uncertainty. I understand that it has been a challenging transition to serve and socialize at home, but there will be many fun events and activities coming soon. Please be sure to stay active and be on a lookout for the division’s and club’s Instagram pages to see how you can serve at home. Although we are apart we will meet again soon. So in the meanwhile, remember to practice good hygiene and social distancing by washing your hands regularly and staying home. Every little thing makes a big difference and you’re part of it, so...BEE POSITIVE!

Kickin’ for Service,

Division 13 South Lieutenant Governor ‘20-’21

WHAT’S KICKIN’ Ninjas!

My name is Maryland Heng and I’m more than DELIGHTED to

BEE serving as one of your EAs for the 2020-2021 term! As you guys may or may have not known I have previously served as D13S’s DCM Coordinator and Poly Key Club’s Vice President! Which means this is my second term serving Key Club in the Division and Club level as your EA and Poly Key Club’s President! I guess you can say i have a lot of the “KEY” knowledge for this new term AHA, so please feel free to ask me any questions regarding key club. I can’t wait to see what’s to come and don’t be shy to sneak in a little hello for me here and there cause I am always at open arms for convos! I absolutely love making new friends and expressing my love for key club and “clown” energy to them, so don’t be afraid to come to me and say hi in real life as well( after this quarantine of course ). Don’t be discouraged by this pandemic but instead use this time to relax and serve your community at home with many of our service weeks made by our own clubs. Times will surely get better and us ninjas will get through it with a KICK of enthusiasm and passion for the NEW TERM! Make sure to keep the social distancing and wash your hands. We love y’all and hope to see you soon ninjas!

HI-YA Division 13 South Ninjas!

My actual name is Jillian Abigail Manuel Argano

Lucero (...Jamal), but you can call me Jia! I cannot explain with words how excited I am to serve as your EA for the 2020-2021 term. As of right now, I am a freshman, and I serve as Mayfair Key Club's president as well. I am always looking forward to making any new friends and helping others in any way possible! If you need advice about ANYTHING, I'm all ears and am willing to help answer questions about Key Club and in general, life. We are all currently undergoing the effects of this quarantine, and I'd like to remind you all to stay strong throughout this period and stay kickin' with service; don't let this pandemic affect your passion for service. Remember that I'm here if you need a friend to talk to! If I'm not doing Key Club or other club & extracurricular stuff, you'll probably see me doing anything music related, playing video games, or hanging out with friends. I can't wait to serve you all and see our division reach greater heights this term. Stay kickin' ninjas, I love you all!

What’s good ninjas! I’m Zulma Ramos and i’m so excited to not only serve our LTG, but also serve YOU as your EA for the ‘20-’21 term. Prior to this term, I served as Treasurer for Sato Key Club and familiarized myself with the other board positions. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding Key Club, I’ll genuinely be happy to help. I'm super outgoing and love meeting new people so don’t ever hesitate to DM me on instagram or come up to me at DCMs or any service events. I hope you all stay safe emotionally, mental and physically <3

Maryland Heng | Executive Assistant | Polytechnic Division 13 South Banquet ‘20 was memorable since it was my first year being an Officer and a DLT member. Everyone around me had a emotional connection with this very club which made this banquet special. Many deserving members received awards and recognition for the hard work they’ve done .The amount of tears that were shed towards the end of the banquet for the seniors, touched many of our hearts. The speeches that the seniors also delivered taught many of the juniors and underclassmen the importance of the club itself. It was an amazing end to the 2019-2020 term, but we will certainly be excited and thrilled for the new one!

Jean Ivie Ilago Webmaster | Bellflower COVID-19 has taken a great toll on our everyday lives. From April 6th to April 10th, 2020 we had held a card making service event to give our best wishes and thanks to patients and medical workers affected by COVID-19 in the Philippines. Despite the quarantine, our Key Clubbers devoted their time to create these cards either by hand or digitally. Throughout the event, Key Clubbers had helped bring the spirits up of those who are struggling during this time. It was a wonderful event that brought forth a sense of hope!

Coral Pongsuwan Historian | Bellflower Every year, Bellflower Key Club partners up with the American Red Cross and hosts a blood drive. This year, we had nearly 100 donors. Members came out to help register donors, make sandwiches, as well as escort them back to their classrooms. Our members made sure to make donors feel comfortable and eat snacks and water to help replenish their blood quickly. We plan on hosting another blood drive next year and hope to gain many more donors!

STAY SAFE!

As well as planning, we have also started a second round of membership dues. On March 7, Mayfair Key Club attended the End of the Term Banquet and the Lakewood Walk+Run as well! For the banquet, our very own new historian, Michelle Lork, got Treasurer of the Year, and Jillian Abigail (Jia) Lucero got Member of the Year.
