OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | DECEMBER EDITION

PAGE 3

HO HO HO Red Devils! Thanksgiving has just passed and I hope that all of you have spent it well with your ohana: friends, family, etc. What were you thankful for? I am thankful to have you all in my life and that we're going through this Key Club Journey together! Christmas is right around the corner, so what are your wishes for Christmas? My wish and hope is that you have all experienced your Key Club Moment at least once this term. Anywho, can you believe that there are only 3 1/2 more months left of this term? It's a bittersweet moment for us who are leaving, but let's leave a mark and something worth celebrating! Speaking of celebrating, will YOU be celebrating Kiwanis' 100th year of service at District convention along with me and all of Cali-Nev-HA district? Registration is coming up soon, so don't forget to register with your home club! To keep this short, let's take a moment to look back at all we have done. Together, we have raised $1,400+ for the Pediatric Trauma Program, served almost over 1000+ hours, and grown as a family. I want you to take all of the opportunities you have left it this term. Run for an elected position, because elections are just around the corner! I wish you all a wonderful month & i can't wait to see you all at the December DCM! <3 With love, Lt.Governor Jennifer

UC BERKELEY CIRCLE K PRESENTS: KEY 2 COLLEGE

OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | DECEMBER EDITION

PAGE 5

Key 2 College was an event hosted by the UC Berkeley Circle K club that presents various workshops that helps Key Clubbers and other high school students get their college questions answered so that they are ready to stay on track for their future college plans. Divisions 26 North, 26 South, Division 2, and The Jade Division of the KIWINS attended this annual event. Everyone learned something new, and they met with college students face-to-face to know what it’s like after high school.

What did you think   about Key 2 College?

Even though I'm a senior, I still learned so much from Key 2 College! It was organized and the workshops were on questions everyone was dying to have answered, like is Freshman 15 real? Talking to the CKI members calmed me down about the stress of the application season right now. - Vanessa Martinez, Concord

The Punjabi Pirates of Pittsburg High hosted Dilwali Night, which turned out to be an amazing night for everyone who attended. The Key Club members that volunteered had so much fun that it didn’t even feel like they worked throughout the entire night. There were also other members that helped out and were part of the energetic performances that everyone enjoyed. Helping the Punjabi Pirates turned out to be a great experience and Key Club members are glad to have been part of it. - Nicole Olandria, Editor

HALLOWEEN
 FESTIVAL

OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | DECEMBER EDITION

PAGE 11

In the Month of October, Antioch participated in a Halloween festival for a local Elementary School. We helped with games, tools, and booths. It was enjoyable to entertain kids and grow their Halloween spirit! The members had a good time interacting with the younger generation. The outcome of the festival was great because of the children and volunteers! We would definitely do something like this again. - Francisco Loya, President

  NIGHT LIGHT THE

Light the Night is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This walk brings together those who support the organization, those who survived cancer, and those who lost a family member from cancer. College Park Key Club along with the division helped at the lantern station, the food station, and cheered for the participants. And as people finished their walk, we handed out cookies to them. Light the Night is one of the big events that we look forward to every year, College Park had a fantastic time at the event and we can’t wait for more volunteer opportunities to come. - Charissa Tseng, Editor

EDITOR’S CLOSING

Thank you all for sending me these wonderful service events every month!

I am always looking forward to see the clubs prosper and evolve throughout the year. We only have a few months left until the District Convention, but we still have a lot of work to do with the Eliminate Project. So Red Devils, don’t lose that spirit for our charities! Ignited with service, Roy Golingan
