Hola Spicy Diablos! This is your one and only LTG, Gagan Lally! This month we have made so much progress and I’m very proud of each and every single one of the members I serve! I just want to say that everyone has been putting in a lot of great work and I am very proud of all the progress we’re making! We should keep it up because we are about to do amazing things. We have tons of events coming up like the leis being sold, Penny Wars, Dance-O-Thon, Kids Fest volunteer opportunity, and the Celebrate Your Heroes in Your Life Dance on June 21st. We are going to make such an impact on our community! It warms my heart when officers contact me asking how their friends and fellow classmates can join this wonderful organization and how they’re so excited to be in Key Club. In due time, we will be able to make this division so much bigger and awesome!

Eliminate Project

Mount's home club also took part in aiding the Eliminate Project. Ziploc bags were distributed among members to collect money for the cause. It was a great way to raise awareness and it was especially nice to see our school participating through donations. - Elisa Gomez, Mt. Diablo Editor

Eliminate Week was a huge success! On Monday, key clubbers went around to spread awareness for ELIMINATE. Once more people knew about what it meant, they began to start raising funds on Tuesday. On Wednesday, key clubbers and other students made a pledge to eliminate MNT, maternal and neonatal tetanus. The next day, many students explained their reasons for why MNT should be eliminated. On Friday, the students shared a picture of their mother or a special female figure in their life to show how those women meant a lot to them, which only fueled their passion to eliminate MNT. - Nicole Olandria, Pittsburg Editor

Busy, Busy, Busy Bees!

College Park Key Club reached over 1000 service hours for this school year this month. The future service events we currently have planned include volunteering at the food bank, Kid’s Fest, Christ the King Community Festival, and Relay for life. Our club is currently having our club T-shirt contest and will be voting on the 19 many service projects, but we were able to finish all of these events with a smile. I feel like our club has become closer in this last month and now we are accomplishing great things together. - Amy Nguyen, College Park President APRIL EDITION EDITION OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | JUNE

Antioch High Key Club participated in a in a city wide clean up with a few of our fellow Dozier-Libbey Key clubbers. It was a nice mix of both Key clubbers and Antioch kiwanis members coming together to help our community. From pulling weeds, to help maintaining the city’s beautiful landscape, this event was a great way for Kiwanis’ young and old give back to their community! This event was the perfect opportunity for our new club members to interact with another local club and see that Key Club is not just at our school but all over. Over all the Keep Antioch Beutiful Clean Up day was definitely a fun local event to participate in! - Jordan Henderson, Antioch Editor

The Walnut Creek clean up members worked hard, to not only clean up parts of Civic park, but to also do some weeding and mulching of the natural plant life. They also went into the creeks to clean up and trash they could find to make the areas safer for wildlife and all around a more beautiful environment. - Lawrence Miraflores, Northgate Editor

Executive Assistant: Kelly Pham

I was initially interested towards the aspects of volunteer work and service hours in Key Club, but boy I did not expect that I would end up being so involved! The introduction to the Eliminate Project especially caught my attention, and I wanted to be apart of Key Club's/Kiwanis's contributions towards the fight against MNT. Like many others when they're first told about this disease, I was shocked about the sufferings and death rates from maternal and neonatal tetanus. I wanted to join the club to help raise money for vaccines, and of course, overall eliminate the disease. My position within the club slowly "ranked up" from Freshman Rep to Club Vice President to Division Executive Assistant. I kept progressing my involvement in the club because it became such a high priority, it became such a joy to serve. I wanted to immerse myself even more in this wonderful Ohana, to serve the Sizzling Red Devils!! As your 2015-2016 Executive Assistant, I'm not only here to assist our LTG Gagan but to have an amazing time (be it serving/cheering/hanging out) with YOU!

I joined Key Club because I was trying to find the light at the end of a tunnel. I was starting new at a new high school, with no friends and my friend, Sandy, introduced me to Key Club with awesome pictures from Instagram. I decided to join for I was trying to meet new friends, and also to get my mind off my personal problems. I absolutely fell in love with Key Club, and decided to run for my position for simply because I want to take on a new opportunity. I want to take this opportunity to overcome my shyness in front of a large crowd, build my home, school, and community, and to make someone smile with my burning passion for service to change the world one penny at a time, one service hour a time, and one helping hand at a time.

HOW DO YOU FEEL?! I feel amazing because Key Club has TOTALLY changed my life! Joining Key Club has allowed me to meet many new and amazing people. I’ve created bonds with some of you, like my fellow DLT members, that I’ll never forget. I ran to become your DNE simply because making people happy makes me happy. Having the honor to make something so beautiful for such beautiful people is an AMAZING feeling. Thank y’all so much for giving me this opportunity. GO RED DEVILS!

Transition Task Coordinator: Briana Chen

Hello BEEutiful Red Devils!!! I am your transition task coordinator of this term, and I'm beyond ecstatic to be able to serve this division. When I was a sophomore, I was encouraged to join key club by many of my friends. However, I was an inactive member, but our president, Monica, highly encouraged attending DCON. I ended up attending DCON 2014 because I was struggling with personal issues, and I wanted to get my mind off of things. Little did I know that my life would change for the better. During DCON, I was able to see the amount of passionate members getting together to celebrate the accomplishments of the past term. Afterwards, I immediately fell in love with key club, and I love every single moment of it. During every event, I am able to experience the love and sizzling passion from every key clubber. As key clubbers, we all strive for the same goal; to change the world. When I chose to run for this position, I wanted to take this opportunity to inspire others while being able to push myself out of my comfort zone. I am beyond blessed to be able to have an active role in our division, and I'm excited for this term!

Service Task Coordinator: Marcus Castro

I chose to be in key club because my friends wanted me to join and meet new people. I didn't know that there were benefits to joining it. I thought that it was just a club where you could just hang. I ran for task coordinator because my most favorite best friend, Gagan Lally, wanted me to experience different positions and I agreed.
