Hey, What's up, Hello Red Devils! This is your one and only sizzling Lieutenant Governor Gagan Lally. I want to have a second and look at all the amazing things we have done in the past four months. We have raised over $1,500 for different charities, completed more than 500 service hours, and have truly come together as an OHANA. I am so proud of Division 26 North. As the summer progresses please do not forget that Key Club is still active in the summer. We still have DCM's, service projects, socials, and events during the entire year so please do not forget. I look forward to an incredible DCM with our sister division, 26 South. Also in seeing a great turnout for our Celebrate the Heroes in Your Life Dance! We are some busy bees this month! Lastly, I will be attending International Convention this June from 22nd to 30rd. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact my Executive Assistants Wencie Hoang and Kelly Pham. Thank you! And I love you all <3 L-O-V-E I LOVE MY D-I-V!

Officer Training Conference

Officer Training Conference was such a BLAST! Division 26 North’s and our sister division, Division 26 South’s, officers were able to come together and learn a lot about their positions from past officers. We all learned about proper Key Club professionalism, attitude, and proper time management skills. It was such a great experience to meet other incredible Key Clubbers and have the opportunity to learn about other branches of Key Club such as the Kiwin's. Overall, OTC is an event I’ll be looking forward to again next year! - Jannika Rayala, D26N DNE

For the month of May 2015, Antioch High Key Club closed out the school year by selling Graduations Leis to the parents, family, and friends of our outgoing class of 2015. These leis sporting our school colors of black and gold helped bring a sense of school pride to the already happy occasion that was the graduation of our hard working seniors. Among these graduating seniors was many of our own key club members, two of which were both named the school Valedictorian and Salutatorian. You could say that this graduation was swarming with key clubber as we had members in both the the honor guard and Ushers due to their high GPA’s. “Overall we the Antioch High Key Club are very proud of our key club family and are looking forward to the upcoming school year and all it will hold.” -AHS Key Club -Jordan Henderson, Antioch Editor

Pittsburg key club comes together to make ribbon leis as a bonding activity as well as to sell them. “The amount of ribbon strands were quite intimidating, though regardless, with teamwork, we were able to create 30+ leis! Braiding together while sitting in the middle of the hallway was really fun, especially since we were blasting music,” -Kelly Pham. - Nicole Olandria, Pittsburg Editor MDHS key club members use their artistic skills to sell key club colored or Mount. D inspired leis to contribute to the Eliminate Project. Leis were sold during the Mount Diablo High School graduation and during lunch or between periods. Many seniors supported the cause and pre-ordered them! The leis looked nice and one of the teachers has been requested one for next year! In the picture Jose Padilla poses with a lei he is proud to have made. He says “It’s an easy and fun thing to do and in the end you’re doing it for a good cause. You can do it anywhere and anytime.” - Elisa Gomez, Mt. Diablo Editor

“It brought people together, as we celebrate the beginning of summer through fundraising it’s nice to see how everyone is willing to help. I would definitely help out again,” said Mina Hernandez as she helps make leis to help raise money for P.T.P. As the school year comes to an end, officers gather with members and advise them about future events they could to over the summer. They are excited to start the new school year as well as make the summer well worth it. - Jacqueline Villalobos, Dozier Libbey Editor

Kids Fest

This month we got to help volunteer at the annual Kids Fest held at Mount Diablo High School. This event was really fun! We were given the opportunity to volunteer at fun booths like face painting, and in the parking lot. This event lasted for three days and it was from early in the morning to the late afternoon. After our shifts were over, we were able to ride the rides, which was a plus! - Lawrence Miraflores, Northgate Editor

Service to the Max! College Park was able to volunteer at two food bank, Friends of the Creek, Christ the King Community Festival, Kid’s Fest, and Relay for life this month. Along with that we have been collecting coins for the Penny War, selling leis, and planning our movie night as a fundraiser for Eliminate. For future event we plan to attend a food bank and division events. Our board is planning to have a board meeting to discuss about the goals for next term. While volunteering at relay for life our club made a profit of $60 by selling ribbon leis, this was something unexpected since we didn’t intend to sell the leis. Since, Relay for Life is an event where there was a lot of down time, our club decided to bring ribbons to the event and have members make the ribbon leis and then sell them at school. It was a success that we were able to sell that many ribbons leis at the event. If we had known earlier we would had order more ribbons. All the event this month was a huge success since it is nearly the end of the school year, but our club is still able to stay active and still have so many members come out for our service event. - Amy Nguyen, College Park President OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | JULY EDITION

Saving the Planet One Plant At a Time!

This month, we had the chance to help out Contra Loma Park and plant! In the first photo, Antioch High key club president Francisco helps cut the branches. Always a pleasure to speak to and always willing to help, he has proven to be a wonderful president. In the second picture, you have the lovely Deer Valley vice president, Daphne, helping to plant seeds for the new plants that will grow there. Daphne is always looking for a way to help and save the earth at the same time and it seems like she finally found her opportunity. Finally, you have three fantastic volunteers willing to give up their free time in order to help save the earth one plant at a time. They were such a big help and seemed to be filled with energy for everything! - Suzette Gomez, Deer Valley Editor

In the month of June, Concord Key Club went to El Dorado Middle School to sell popsicles, drumsticks, and ice cream sandwiches. We fundraised around $40 dollars for the Pediatric Trauma Program. Despite the gloom and the rain, we sold out! It was a big success. While selling ice cream and popsicles, we also promoted our club to incoming Freshmen. We informed them what Key Club was all about and why they should join. Some of them seemed very interested, so that's promising! - Melissa Javier, Concord VP
