LTG Greeting Hey Red Devils! It's definitely been an awesome and service-filled summer; it's crazy that we're all starting school in just a few days, if we haven't started already! With this new school year comes a ton of new opportunities to grow your club and inspire new Key Clubbers to be servant leaders as well! As the Key Club year begins to take shape and each club begins the necessary dues process, events such as Region Training Conference and Fall Rally North rapidly approach as well! Don't let the busy nature of autumn get a hold of you! Keep organized and keep motivated, and attend events such as RTC and Fall Rally to fuel your passion for leadership as well as your fellow members' drive to serve! If you have any questions about member recruitment, events such as RTC and Fall Rally, or anything else you may have in mind, please contact me! See all you Devils real soon!!

What's up Red Devils?! Summer is slowly coming to an end but I hope you guys have been having an awesome time! The end of summer means the beginning of recruiting new members! Remember to start off the school year with a bang! Tips for school- try not to procrastinate! It WILL catch up with you. Otherwise, just have fun and be smart. Lastly, DCM will be in a couple of days so I hope to see all of you guys very soon!
Jennifer Lam, Executive Assistant Hey Red Devils! So it's almost the end of summer and you all know what that means, the school year is going to start! I know most of you don't even want to hear the word "school" but, sadly, it is inevitable. However, once the school year starts, it will be so much easier for communication to go around. The beginning of the school year also means the recruitment of new members! It is highly important that your school tries to reach it's assigned number of club members for this year! It will also be a good idea to squeeze in a few fundraisers before Fall Rally North coming in October! Speaking of Fall Rally North, please don't miss out on this month's DCM on the 24th! We will be making our spirit gear so we will be ready to show of our Division 26 North Devil Pride to other divisions! Hope everyone has a great rest of the summer and good luck in school!

CONCORD
This month Concord's Key Club has been buzzing with ideas! We've contacted several organizations including a soup kitchen, food bank, and AYSO to arrange volunteer opportunities for the up and coming months. We've successfully brainstormed our first meetings of the new school year, dedicated to bring more Key Club spirit to our school! Members also participated in "A Taste of Concord" held in downtown Todos Santos where we face painted, temporary tattoo'd, and helped others get around. We are also continuing our pocket tee and bow making for PTP until our supplies run out!

Club Updates
6
This month, College Park has been busy volunteering at the food bank. We are also in the process of planning for important upcoming events and brainstorming recruitment tactics for new freshman and sophomores. Overall, this summer has been pretty efficient and we are looking forward to the school year.
David Park, President
We helped out at our school's freshman registration days and informed the incoming students of Key Club. We are currently conversing with CSF because they're planning to make a school wide club dodge ball tournament between all clubs. This past Tuesday we had a Deer Valley Take Over at the Kiwanis meeting where my officers and I led their meeting. We're also planning to have a movie night but the details are uncertain at this point.
Jonathan Perez, President
MT. DIABLO
With the school year about to start, our Key Club has been thinking of several ways to publicize to new potential members. So far we have created a website. The website has been recently organized and fixed, and it included membership applications, information about Key Club International and MDHS Key Club for new members to see and current members to stay updated.

PITTSBURG
Pittsburg Key Club just found out that we raised $101 for Relay for Life last month. So far, not a lot has been going on since summer classes are still going on for some of my officers and members. However, we are preparing for the Clubs Carnival in a few weeks to promote Key Club and recruit new members.
All club updates should be submitted to Desiree Choe by the 14th of each month. Thanks!
Katie Shimizu, President
NORTHGATE
This month, Northgate Key Club has been very active volunteering at the food bank, Pleasant Hill Gardens, and hosting a fundraising carwash where we raised $300 for PTP. We are planning to advertise Key Club at the freshman orientation and preparing for Club Rush so we can start the year strong with many new recruits. In addition, we are planning for RTC and Fall Rally North and also booking more volunteering shifts at the food bank and other events for our members during the school year.

Helping out at the food bank was such a wonderful experience. I love having the opportunity to make even the tiniest positive impact on people's lives. Sorting produce allows the efficient delivery of fruits and vegetables to families in need of sustenance. At the food bank, the atmosphere is fun and enthusiastic, and being able to participate at this organization has made me more grateful for all the things in my life.

Loaves and Fishes Lesliejane Pada, Mt. Diablo HighSchool
At the beginning of the month, our Key Club volunteered at the Loaves and Fishes location in Pittsburg. We had various jobs throughout our shift there. We set up the dining hall, looked through donated food to make sure they were fit for feeding the guests, disposed of old food, stacked up food, handed out donations to the guests, cleaned, and help close the hall. It was the first time our club worked with the Loaves and Fishes organization, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Through our work there, we met many interesting people who we helped or worked with, and had an overall wonderful experience!

This month, Northgate Key Club helped volunteer alongside College Park Key Club at the Pleasant Hill Instructional Gardens. We had the grand opportunity to help beautify the garden by tending to the plants, creating mulch (which helps fertilize the soil and discourage weeds from growing), and clearing up the walkway. We are all so glad to have contributed our time to the community.

CAR WASH Northgate High School
On Saturday, August 17th, Northgate Key Club (plus David Park from College Park) hosted a fun raising car wash at the 76 Gas Station on Treat Blvd. We managed to raise just over $300 for PTP and spread the word about our cause—Way to go, Broncos! This was a fun way to raise necessar funds, and your division leadership team highly recommends that you set one up sometime before Fall Rally North!

It’s school time! This is a crucial time to start planning how your club can hit the ground running to kick off a successful school year. Here are some tips from your Division Leadership Team!
TIPS FOR THE S C H O O L YEAR (2013-2014)
Advertise! Make sure your club is doing its best to advertise all the fun things you’ve been doing! Remember, we’re always looking for new recruits to add to our family!
Plan out your service events! Before the school year gets too hectic, take advantage of your renewed determination and get all your service opportunities organized for your members! Planning ahead will ensure you have less worries by the time finals (ugh!) roll around.
Make a website. Making and maintaining a website is a great way to keep both potential and current members informed and updated. I personally recommend weebly—it’s free and pretty easy to use. Get ready for your school’s Club Day! Grab a booth, set up some signs, and show your Key Club spirit! We want to focus on targeting underclassmen, especially freshmen so that they can start early on serving the community and become potential officers of LTGs!
Most importantly: HAVE FUN! Just because the school year is upon us doesn’t mean all the fun has past! Get your members together and get spirited!
24
Reminders -The minimum membership dues amount is $11— $4.50 goes to the Cali-Nev-Ha District; $6.50 goes to Key Club International. -You may add additional money to be directed to your high school club fund. (for example, Northgate adds $1 so the total due amount is $12.) -You must print out an invoice and send a check with the money to the membership update center by November Key Club International PO Box 6069-Dept 123 Indianapolis, IN 46206-6069 -Your faculty advisor will receive an e-mail from Key Club International with log in information. -It is important that you stay in communication with your faculty advisor. -Please inform Leon if you switch faculty advisors with the new school year.
DEVIL of the MONTH Katie is a very dedicated and active Key Club member! She serves as an inspiration to all of us to stay active in the community. Q: What do you love about Key Club? A: I like Key Club because I get to work with other dedicated Key Clubbers who also strive to make a difference globally and in the community.

Katie Shimizu, Northgate
Q: What Key Club experience are you looking forward to this year? A: I am really looking forward to Fall Rally North!!! Q: What’s your favorite Key Club cheer? A: I really like the "we are the devils" cheer but I hope to learn how to do it better at this upcoming DCM.

The chart above shows the goals we have set for each club in Division 26 North. We know these goals may seem a little scary, but they are very attainable with a little planning, determination, and dedica tion. We have FULL confidence in all our clubs that these goals (and more) can be reached. Remember, your Division Leadership team is ALWAYS available if you need help with ANYTHING. We CAN make these goals a reality!
Hey Red Devils! I seriously cannot believe summer is already over – it went by way too fast for comfort! But part of me must admit that I am excited for the new school year… it’s a time for new beginnings and fresh starts. It’s a time to get organized and start the year strong, to make plans and see them through. So let’s take this opportunity as a division and move forward together so that we can accomplish our goals! We’ve got some really exciting things coming up like RTC and Fall Rally North, not to mention the excitement of new Key Club members to add to our ever-growing family. Let’s all take this time to focus on growing and improving as individuals, as Key Club members, as clubs, and altogether as a division. Have a GREAT first day of school, Red Devils! Let’s make this school year the best one yet! I hope you enjoyed this installment of the Inferno! In Service,
