LTG’S Welcome

OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | NOVEMBER EDITION 3

Sizzle Sizzle Ha Ha How ya doing Red Devils?! Wow! It's crazy to know that we are already halfway through this Key Club term. It's halfway of your member, officer, and DLT term! So this is the time you want to reflect back on your experience in Key Club! Did you complete the number of hours you wanted? Did you raise the target goal for funds for PTP? Did you make a difference in your community? Please look back and make changes into the way you look at Key Club so that you will have no regrets at the end of this term! Make yourself the very best, your club the very best, and the communities you serve! District Convention is coming very soon so please make sure you start fundraising now, because early registration opens in December. It's a life changing event that I recommend everyone experience, and will become a Guardian of Service at the end of DCON! Contact your club officers if interested! As always I am so very proud of each and every single one of you as you slowly change the culture and communities around you. Once a Red Devil, always a Red Devil. Thank you! Walnut Run

OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | NOVEMBER EDITION 5

The Walnut Run was held to help raise money for the schools around the Walnut Creek area. Key Clubbers passed out water for all of the runners passing by. We cheered on the runners coming to encourage them to finish strong! - Lawrence Miraflores, Northgate Editor

At the Walnut Run, which supports education, key club volunteers cheered on those running. The run started early and runners had the option of participating in the 5K or 10K, either way we gave them motivation along the way! We handed out water and words of encouragement. It was a joy to see people of all ages- young and old- run for a good cause. - Kemberly Lopez, Concord Member

Tricycle Race

The tricycle race was an event held at Mary Casey Black Elementary in Brentwood. This event emphasized education and gave away free books as prizes for various games, such as dart-throwing and the infamous tricycle race. It was the very first time Kiwanians held this event. It was even sponsored by a a US Congressman. He recognized Circle K and Key Club and how they make the world a better place. - Renz Caceres, Concord Spirit Coordinator

OFFICIAL DIVISION 26 NORTH NEWSLETTER | NOVEMBER EDITION 9

This month the Antioch High School Key Club made it to the Regional Training Conference for the first time ever. Not only did our dedicated club president make it out for the event but several of our other member went and had the time of their lives. Those who went on the trip had a blast while at the same time learning what it really means to be a Region 9 Red Devil. Our President Francisco Loya says " The RTC was an Amazing experience for the new members of Key Club! We cheered our butts off and smiled the night away!". Hopefully the fire burning in our new Antioch High Key Clubbers really blazes into a forest fire of service for this upcoming year. - Jordan Henderson, Antioch Editor

It’s time for BOOT CAMP! Division 26 North are gathered around Pittsburg High School not only to master their cheers with the help of their spirit coordinators Reggie Quinones and Onyyi Nwosu from Dozier-Libbey Medical High School but to also win back the spirit stick this year! They are gathered on a Saturday morning to get to know one another and also prepare themselves for FRN. These sizzling red devils also made spirit sticks and gear to bring at Fall Rally North. There were stations all around that allowed each member to experience firsthand how to make amazing posters, signs and tutus with glitter, spray paint and so much more. They sure know how to get down and dirty as the whole place was filled with colorful and bright posters that will definitely catch people’s attention.
