CLUB UPDATES! 6

Northgate On Saturday, August 12, we went to go make posters and cards. We started with some icebreakers, before making a poster for our club. We then spent the rest of the time making cards for cancer patient kids. It was fun to talk to other Key Clubbers and do arts and crafts. We drew koalas to help cheer up the kids! -Jocelyn Thai

Alhambra

On August 14th, 2018, Claire Stone (President), Alan Kobylik (Treasurer), Rachel Snyder (Editor), Nicole Tria (Vice-President) and Emily West (member) wore their Key Club T-shirts to Alhambra High School’s walk through in attempt to find new members for our club. We got to talk and convince many of our friends that they should join Key Club. A major point that we used to sell Key Club to juniors and seniors is that it is an easy and fun way to get in their community service hours needed to graduate from our high school. -Rachel Snyder

Deer Valley On August 30th, 2018, Deer Valley Key club participated in the making of cards filled with sweet messages for hospital patients. All of the cards were donated to various hospitals and given to patients who are sick in order to boost their morale and give them confidence! -Allison Lee

Heritage

On September 4th, Heritage held a service event opportunity to get service hours for FRN and in general, by making cards for cancer patients. It was super convenient because this event was held right after school at the park down the street from Heritage! We had snacks and plenty of colored paper and markers everyone could use to make their cards. We had a great turnout and I was super glad getting to see some new and familiar faces. I can’t wait for what Heritage will accomplish this school year. -Maddie Lugue

EDITOR'S CLOSING Hey red devil readers! As always, thank you for reading this month's issue of The Inferno! It's finally October which means Fall Rally North is quickly approaching! With the remaining weeks we have left, please make sure to gain enough service hours to attend this event that you definitely don't want to miss! Please also make sure to memorize ALL CHEERS and wear your spirit gear (or red) so that Division 26 North can be sizzlin' hot on FRN! Feel free to go all out on your spirit gear with spirit sticks, devil horns, face paint, and many more! I'm looking forward to what this month has to offer :)) Burning with Service,

Kaitlyn Camaquin division news editor 2018-2019
