Hello my fellow Red Devils! As you may have noticed, this newsletter is a very special newsletter.

Welcome to The Inferno Version 3.0 New style, new flow, new… everything! Keep on sending me those club pictures so that I could properly display all your BEEautiful faces on each page. PEDIATRIC TRAUMA PROGRAM

Changing Children’s Lives Pediatric Trauma remains the leading cause of death and injury among children ages 14 and under in the United States. The mission of our Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is to develop local projects which will reduce the number of children in our threestate District who are killed or injured by trauma, ensuring all children live happy, healthy and safe lives.

Donations for PTP are spent in three  major areas: Grants to our partner hospitals, enabling them to create or expand community outreach programs.

Grants to Kiwanis and Student Leadership Program clubs, enabling them to help more children in more communities.

And PTP safety items, which are available for purchase by our Kiwanis family at a subsidized cost.

HOW DID YOU   RECRUIT?

PITTSBURG KEY CLUB We recruited our members by advertising our club to the Freshmen first, then using Clubs Day to promote and spread the knowledge of Key Club. We also made our own Instagram board for anyone to take a picture in! Our first meeting managed to reach 200 new members! - Roy Golingan | President

COLLEGE PARK KEY CLUB College Park successfully recruited members at our school's walk thru by using colorful posters, giving out candy, and clipping on clothespins while people were not looking. We had the same process at walk thru as well, and Key Club had the longest line for people standing up, which grabbed the attention of many other students. We had members go around holding the YouTube sign taking pictures, and our club advisor also told all his classes that he would give extra credit to those who joined our club as well. At the end of sign ups, College Park had up to 200 sign ups, and hopefully we will be able to keep almost all of them to add them to our family :) - Vivian Chong | President

HOW WAS YOUR FIRST MEETING? CONCORD KEY CLUB Our first meeting was great! There was so much energy in the room, and we had over 80 people attend. There was so much to get through, but we did it in 20 minutes. Afterward, we ran out of membership forms because so many people wanted one! - Vanessa Martinez | President

CLUB   College Park College Park has been incredibly busy with the new year. With more than 200 sign ups, we expect a very busy and active year! I cannot express my excitement more for this amazing opportunity to experience not only College Park Key Club flourish, but also the entire division expand and see how our ohana grows together spiritually! I CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW OFF OUR SPIRIT TO ALL THE OTHER DIVISIONS

Northgate Although we have remained dormant for quite sometime, we are planning to recruit members during Club Rush. We plan to elect a new Secretary ASAP and get our club back into the fray. We have also turned in our papers to be known as an official club for Northgate and plan to create posters and order flyers from the Key Club website to pass out at the front of the school! - Audrey Vergara | D26N EA

- Vivian Chong | President

Concord For this month, Concord High Key Club worked at Walk Through to recruit new members! Then during the second week of school we organized our very first meeting for the school year. During this meeting we talked about the general concept of Key Club, our message, RTC, FRN, and membership fees/dues. Our first meeting was very successful with over 80 people attending and more people coming in soon. It was an amazing feeling seeing so many students interested in the club! Can't wait to start this school year with a Sizzle from the D26 Red Devils! - Gagan Lally | Editor

UPDATES   Mount Diablo Mount Diablo Key Club had its first meeting this past Monday. We had a presentation to inform all of our new members about Key Club and our goals. The classroom was packed with new members, returning members, and even many underclassmen. We have already begun collecting dues to make the earlybird deadline for paid members. Later this month, we have two volunteer events in Walnut Creek for all of our members to participate in. - Colin Ridgley | Editor

Pittsburg

Antioch

So far, Pittsburg Key Club served concessions during every football game in school. We are planning to use that money for either PTP or our Eliminate funds. Aside from the games, all Pittsburg officers are attending the Region Training Conference, and the whole club is also getting ready to bring Red Devil spirit to Fall Rally North. We hope to have more than 30 members attend at this year’s FRN.

For the month of September, Key Club of Antioch will be participating with Dozier Libbey Key Club at "Delta & Marsh Creek Cleanup". We will also begin in helping with the 'Panther Pantry', where low income students can pick up fruits and vegetables.

This month Mount Diablo volunteered at the Independent Living Senior Homes in Concord. We participated at their annual family BBQ where the seniors have their families over to join them for a carnival like BBQ with games and prizes. We helped make cotton candy and popcorn to pass out to the families and we also ran carnival games and a candy booth. We went around giving out the sweets and popcorn as well as giving out prizes while running the carnival games. This was our second time volunteering at the Independence Living homes and it was a great experience for all our members! - Colin Ridgley | Editor

  FOOTBALL

CONCESSIONS During every football season, our school gives clubs a chance to raise money for their own funds. Key Club is attending every game to raise money both for the club and for charity. We hope to use the profits we earned from the football games for the Eliminate Project and the Pediatric Trauma Program. So far, we are making a $245 for our average profit by selling burritos that came from a well known and locally renowned restaurant. - Roy Golingan | President
