I hope you are all well and healthy! With the world's situation right now and summer approaching, I understand how hard it will be to continue group service and our regular Key Club shenanigans:(. However, I bee-lieve that all of you will find ways to not only keep your spirits up but lift the spirits of those around you, whether it be your community or loved ones! From little messages to big impacts, there are still ways to make a difference! And I hope you all keep that fire burning (from 6 ft apart!) WITH A FIRE TO INSPIRE,

Hello HelloDivision Division 26 26 North! North! I hope you all are still remaining safe and at home. Thank you all for continuing to remain active and doing your best to serve and fundraise for Key Club! Let's utilize this quarantine to focus more on clud projects and events and meetings. By doing this, we are strengthening club bonds and also working together in smalled but more groups to work towards our club and division goals. Once this quarantine is over, I am very excited to see how much your club has grown in such a rough time, and to be able to finally get together and see each other again! DEVIL'S TRULY, MAMA DEVIL

EL ANNALA
Alanna: With watching Key Clubbers and seeing them share their moments, I am excited to engage with others and participate in services along the way. It brings me great joy to see everyone volunteer and participate in service opportunities. I am looking forward to creating unbreakable bonds not only with my school but with others from different schools, community, or area within our region. I'd love to meet more friends and go on shenanigans. I can't wait to make more memories and see people grow into wonderful blissful people. Let's be friends!
R I A H C
Q1: What are you most excited for in this new term?
Sergio: I'm excited for all of the new events because I want to go places again, take pictures, ect.

Q2: What do you love most about/ what is your favorite part about your position? Alanna: That's a hard one to decide. My favorite thing about my position is seeing the excitement in all the hardworking advisors, members, and clubs when receiving awards, and seeing all the hard work they put in to receive those awards. It brings me joy to see others happy. Sergio: My favorite part about my role is taking pictures, recording videos, and making graphics.

A1: During the start of quarantine, I have been studying nonstop for my AP exams, which were absolutely dreadful. But now that it's all over, I have taken the time to do new things such as running, baking, and completing a chloe ting program. I always despised running, but now with nothing to do, it seems to be the only thing I'm doing now. A2: I miss the bonding mostly during Key Club events! Being together with everyone and overall just having fun is something I've taken for granted. Although we see each other virtually through zoom, it doesn't feel the same. Now I'm counting down the days until I can see all of my Key Club friends from other FREEDOM PREZ 20/21 schools! I'm most kmkother excited to see my A1: 2 new hobbies I've picked up old friends again, from quarantine are baking and but also to meet cooking my favorite Filipino some new ones foods I had growing up as well as too! gaming :P-- I'm beginning to play

TAKE PART IN CNH'S
Spotlight Spotlight On On Service Service
PROGRAM
For the month of June, CNH is focusing on Health and Safety, which is perfect considering the current process of reopening. Here are some reminders/ tips on how to maintain health and safety within your community and household in spirit of the SOSP!
Remember safety precautions! Now that public institutions are opening up and people are able to gather, it is still important to remember that the virus is still out there! wash your hands often ALWAYS wear a mask maintain 6 ft apart (social distance!) refrain from touching your face
Save electricity, water, & food It is still encouraged to keep from going out so often! While home, help keep our environment and community healthy by saving electricity, water, and food! only buy what you need from the groceries to ensure others in your community have enough take short showers; keep the water off while brushing your teeth; turn the water off immediately after washing hands! only turn lights on when it's dark outside-- utilize windows/natural light during the day! Since school is out, find new hobbies to do-- don't stay too long on electronics!
Find new hobbies

HELP THE MOVEMENT.
© 2016 PACIFIC PRESS
Educate yourself As an organization that advocates leadership and community among the youth, we, the Division, encourage you all to
ignite your
leadership and take action towards our current situations. Utilize your skills gained from Key Club to enact change; contribute by educating yourselves, educating others, speaking up, and fighting to be heard. In fighting for the movement, you are not only fighting for George Floyd, but for your peers and your community. In fighting for the movement, you are not only fighting for your future but for the future of the world. You are fighting for equality and freedom from discrimination, whether that be in the minds of others or in the systems of corrupt institutions. You are fighting because this determines your future, our future, and only you have the power to influence. Key Club and D26N is for #blacklivesmatter; we aim to make this world a safer, more peaceful, more
caring,
more
inclusive environment
and we call on the
leadership in
your
character to
do so. The power of the collective is
greater when focused and organized, so educate yourselves, focus, and take action.
Listen It is good to share views with others and gain different perspectives, as long as there is focus. Make sure when you converse with others, it is a healthy conversation meant for both views to expand and grow deeper, not the opposite. It is important to remember that not everyone has the same opinions but that each opinion should gain the same respect and understanding, despite what your own opinion is. In negitavely criticizing others' opinions or choices, you are bringing them down which is the opposite of what we are trying to convey-- every voice deserves to be heard. Listen with an open heart and mind, and refrain from defending your own position. If we want change, we must first listen, understand, then act. Let's build each other up-- we are stronger together!
Spread awareness Quality over quantity; it does not matter how big or small your contribution is as long as the effort and intention is present. If you have social media or other platforms of communication, it is always helpful to share what you've learned to others. Spread awareness towards causes that you feel strongly towards and encourage others to take action as well.
Bee a leader!
Offer support Sometimes, a hug is all someone needs-- support of any measure goes a long way. Here are resources on ways to offer support (click to access): Statement from Key Club International General Help Petitions, Donations, Educational Resources, + more (Master Doc for support)
INFOGRAPHICS
You do not have to go out and protest! There are multiple ways to help from home that deliver just as much impact.
HOW TO HELP FROM HOME Support protesters If you have a way with words and an eye for art, create vivid and eye-catching posters for protesters to use during protest! The virus is still going around, so reminder
protestors
you
know
to
wear
masks
and
be
aware
of
safety
precautions. Make masks for protesters!
Donate/sign petitions This is an easy and obvious one-- it only takes a small amount of your day to start a large wave of change. There are resources provided on the left page!
Educate others Collect sources that speak the loudest to you and share it to others! Allow others to be inspired with you.
Advocate for mental health Amidst the energy and fight towards a better future, many are still affected by their past. Mental health is often forgotten as the world is constantly changing and society is constantly responding. Reach out to family, friends, victims, or families of victims to show your support and sincerity, or provide a mental health outlet for those most in need.
Watch videos to donate There are still ways to donate without directly paying! Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCgLa25fDHM The ad revenue from this video is donated to BLM-related organizations-things to be aware of: you

Our Mission
Kiwanis International has paired with UNICEF to eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus, a fatal disease caused by unsanitary birth deliveries, hospital conditions, umbilical cord practices, and lack of immunizations. Each year, MNT take the lives of over 300,000 newborns and a significant amount of mothers worldwide, which has led Kiwanis to their embark their mission. Thousands of Kiwanians, alongside UNICEF, fight to protect 55 million lives victimized to this disease, and preserve the bond between mother and child. Our division, alongside others internationally, serve to aid Kiwanis in reaching their goal of eradicating the deadly disease and the devestations that follow.
E W E T A N I M I EL So, what is the purpose of Eliminate Week? The purpose of the Elminate Week is to spread the word and spirit of giving back! By encouraging others to donate, we are enlisting to join the fight-- the fight towards a future for prone and affected families, the fight towards a happier, healthier world. The funds raised through the Eliminate Project are collected by UNICEF and Kiwanis to distribute vaccines worldwide, protecting mothers as well as their children. Just 1 vaccine provides immunity to a mother and all the children she bears. Through each word, each search, each donation, we take one step closer by educating others about MNT and ultimately one step closer to eliminating the disease. The end of the disease begins a healthier life for many families.

As a division, members gathered together over a zoom call to create dog-toys. The members first sorted out clothes from their closet that were unused, unwanted, or old, then gathered additional items, such as scissors, to create braided chew toys. Amidst the pandemic devestations happening around us, this event provided a way for members to relax while keeping service and spirit alive! Freedom High School's editor, Sophia Nguyen, includes in her article that "the dog toy making was also another way for members to kill time and make fun creations out of things you already own. Since it’s been tricky to find ways to help out the community but also follow social distancing, dog toy making was easy and addicting to do!". The event was easy, efficient, effective, and best of all fun! With the limited contact we have over quarantine, it was refreshing for members to get together again and bond while contributing to the community. As if it couldn't have been said better, Clayton Valley's editor, Jasmine Valenzuela, expresses "This event was a great opportunity to sit down and create something together, even if it was through a computer screen. During an unfortunate time like now, it is still important to connect with your community and to continue building it up." And, overall, the event was successful due to positive member turnout and dog-toy products. Thank you to everyone who participated!
