LETTER FROM YOUR DNE

A "Goodbye" from your Division News Editor

Hello Red Devils! Thank you for a great term, even if this wasn't the kind we were expecting. I hope you all found a way to enjoy the term through your own perspective and were still able to create great memories you can smile at while looking back on:). For seniors, I wish you the best wherever you go, and hope you carry the values and spirit you gained from Key Club with you throughout life! As for others who still have a year or years ahead of them in high school, I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to pursue and hope that you continue to serve and participate in Key Club as well as your community:). I know the next term will be as spicy (if not spicier) as this one was, and thank you to those who tried their best to stay active this year! P.S. Please remember to constantly check our instagram and CNH's instagram for updates, as well as both of our newsletters. Thanks:).

Hello Division 26 North! This is my goodbye letter to you all, as the term is ending very soon. It has been the greatest honor serving as one of your Division Executive Assistants, as I got to meet so many of you and make lasting memories that I will continue to remember. I know how different this term has been, so I want to thank you for continuing to be active and spirited Red Devils! Even over Zoom, we made it work, and most importantly, we had fun! Whether or not next term is virtual, I am looking forward to continuing making countless memories, chatting with you all,

and scorching past records. I hope you enjoyed this term as much as I did, and I am so excited to go into the next term with you. Executive Assistant or not, I am here for you if you have any questions or concerns! Let’s continue serving our home, school, and community.

Sincerely,

Ethan

Kiwanis Executive Assistant 2020-2021

Dear Division 26 North, Hello Key Clubbers, my name is Alex Barnes and it has been my honor to serve as one of your Division Executive Assistants for the 2020-2021 term. All of your hard work and dedication is the reason why I was able to motivate myself during this crazy term. While it may not have been how we all would’ve liked it, I have learned so much from the different opportunities I have gained and the passion of all members that stuck it out and continued assisting their communities This Division has a bright term ahead of it and I am so excited to see member attendance go back to what it used to be and hopefully be able to bond with our

communities and fellow Key Clubbers in person once again. I am confident that this Division is in the right hands with our LTG Elect and I am very excited to be able to work with him again next term. This position has meant the world to me and I want to thank our whole division for the service they have done and will continue to do.

Sincerely,

Alex

│06│DLT FAREWELL LETTERS Greetings Key-uties! First, I’d like to congratulate each and every one of you for all the hard work you’ve put into this term! I had no idea how fundraising or service hours would go this year but you guys really blew me away. Especially in the Coins for PTP and the Devil’s cafe fundraisers! To all the treasurers in the division, I’m so proud of all of you for coming up with fun and creative ways to raise funds during the pandemic! Whether it be from sticker sales or recycling, you all showed great love and passion for this division and those in

need. Thank you for participating in the division fundraisers and helping in working towards our goal! You’ve all made me so proud and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish in the next term!! I <3 you DIvision 26 North!!

Stay Sizzlin,

Kaitlin

Kaitlin Bituen Fundraising Coordinator 2020-2021

Hello Division 26 North! Key club will always have a special place in my heart and taught me invaluable lessons I will be indefinitely applying to future careers and passions. It changed my life. What happens when we put a bunch of teenagers in charge of a volunteer organization? We save millions of lives and improve so many aspects in our community! I’ve realized how much teenagers have so much power to change the world, it’s insane how much we can

accomplish with our collective talents and spirit. If we can already accomplish so much at this age, I can’t wait to see what everyone does in the adult world <3.

Spread your wings!!!

Hello Division 26 North! This is Drake Sparling, one of your spirit coordinators :) I want to thank all of you for still deciding to play an active role this term, even with Covid stripping away all of our opportunities to be together. It truly does mean so much to me that people still strive and have the passion to serve their community, even when they’re limited by restrictions. With this next coming term and terms to come, I am excited to see the revival of our division, full of new and bright faces who are ready and more than happy to serve our division. Let’s face it,

this year sucked for all of us--but let’s be optimistic and prepare for our future and make it even better than years before. I’m proud to have served this division for the past four years and I can’t wait to see the potential that this division has in the years to come! Ignited with compassion,

Drake

RECYCLING FOR PTP Article by: Janessa Olopernes, Dozier Libbey

Dozier-Libbey Key Club took part in a state-wide fundraising competition called, Recycling for PTP. Organized by club presidents, a total of 14 Key Clubs across California, including our division’s very own Mount Diablo Key Club, participated! This event started on November 10th and spanned until the end of January. For this fundraiser, clubs gathered as many recyclable bottles and cans they could find. The top three clubs with the most will earn a prize! First place holds certificates, a trophy, and stickers, whilst second and third shall be rewarded with special certificates for the members who participated. After counting our own collection by

early February, we found that a total of 2,414 items were donated, thanks to the many Dozier-Libbey members that pitched in. All profits made from the recyclables will go towards the Pediatric Trauma Program. Not only will PTP benefit from this event, but by recycling, we’re also reducing the pollution in our communities caused by waste! Thank you to those who actively contributed, and a round of applause for our member, Valeria Pena, who collected the most recyclables throughout the duration of this fundraiser! Thank you editors for all your submissions this term! :) -DNE
