Through the endless hardships to the numerous achievements our division has accomplished, it is certainly a miracle. Thank you for all the memories and countless wonders you have provided for those in need. Without each of your hard efforts, our division would not have grown to such heights. I hope you all have enjoyed this year serving with grizzly pride and dedication. Don’t forget the strength and courage each and every one of you possess to help others. 03 Dearest Grizzlies, The 2012-2013 term has ended and new beginnings await. We have created a plethora of memories together, and I hope that this past year has been a way for you to get involved with you peers and community. Thank you for all of your hard work in making the world a better place. Each and every one of you have contributed something great to this division. Club Updates Hello Grizzlies! To all of those who celebrate Chinese New Year, I hope you had a wonderful time with your loved ones! MCHS Key Club walked in the Stockton Chinese New Year’s Parade held on March 3rd, and we had a blast! Filled with Division pride and Key Club spirit, we marched on chanting cheers and gave a Grizzlytastic performance filled with festive confetti! Everyone had a wonderful time, and it was great to spread our loud voices for service to our fellow citizens! Time sure does fly fast! As our term is coming to a close, our new board is ready to lead on the legacy! Congratulations! Iam so proud of them all, and I have no doubt that MCHS will have an even better Key Club year with their amazing leadership qualities and character!Thank you so much for a wonderful term, and here’s to the next!!!

Overall, McNair had our annual Film Festival and it was a success and a hit. We premiered over ten videos that students submitted to us. It ranged from romance to horror. There was many great clips, but the winner was Track & Field’s video of Richard’s First Race and runner up was Rithy’s Miss Nice Girl video. McNair Key Club, NHS, and CSF volunteered at the Port City Track and it was a success event. The energy of the event and the chance to meet new faces from other schools was awesome!

CESAR CHAVEZ A couple of weeks ago around eight members from Chavez volunteered to serve at the crab feed. We met lots of Key Clubbers and within a few hours we made some new friends. he following day we volunteered at the Saint Mary’s Dining Hall. Members got to pour juice into a large container, cut the desserts into thin slices, dice the onions, and plenty more. After breakfast we waited to serve lunch. It was nice seeing all of the smiling faces on the people and the food looked delicious. Also, a couple of our members went to this month’s DCM. They came back saying that it was really fun and they enjoyed the movie Pitch Perfect. At the moment we are currently looking for more volunteering opportunities for our members. I am actually looking forward to volunteering at the Stockton’s Annual Asparagus Festival this year. It will be extremely exciting and we can’t wait to help!
With only a few months left of the school year, more and more service events have been strongly encouraged to give back to the community and get the club bonding with each other before seniors graduate and depart. On February 28th, we helped set up for the Mardi Gras Crab Feed, setting up chairs, tables, plates, and decorations. On March 2nd and 3rd, members volunteered at the Chinese New Year Celebration, where they helped with set up. There, the members helped set up chairs and tables, and worked with children, painting their faces! On March 9th, our club returned to the Gospel Center Rescue Mission, where we cleaned out the warehouse and cleaned up the children’s playroom and brought out new toys for the kids to play with.

Lodi High
YAY! Lodi Key Club is now officially chartered and considered a club to International!! We also finished our Mixed Bags fundraiser and finally got our check from the tips from the Kiwanis Crab Feed. Our next service event is actually tomorrow for the Salvation Army dinner at Temple Baptist Church in Lodi. Over the two week break, there is also another crab feed a few members have signed up for in Stockton. DCON is coming up and we have finally gotten all road blocks out of the way.. Lodi is definitely going forsure!! Last but not least, the club is planning on having a rummage sale to fundraise for next year’s events. It should be very easy and fun, but we will most definitely need help on getting things to sell!

Hey Grizzlies! This past month SECA has been going through our transitioning process with the board, as well as the club. We also volunteered with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church for their annual Pub Night dinner and with Kiwanis for the crab feed. Next month, our new board takes hold. This past year has been amazing! Thank you to the our club and the entire division for making it so memorable :)

FEBRUARY DCM/MOVIE NIGHT recap... Upcoming Events
The feb DCM was quite enjoyable and ran smoothly. As usual there were updates from the LTG. We played a social interaction game where we partnered up and was given the opportunity to meet new people. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and afterwards we did recall and presented what our club have done. After roll call we played the movie and had a great night.It was quite nice to have a somewhat different DCM; instead of meeting at a park, we got to watch a movie and spend time with other key clubbers. My perspective of the event, okay well when we played that social game I was partnered up with this girl and she looked familiar like I saw her in the past. The first thing I asked / said to her was “are we related?” and it turns out we were. Regardless of how small some key club socials may be, we are all one big family. Sometimes, in literal terms.

ST. ANNE’S PUB NIGHT St. Anne’s was my first volunteer event that I had to serve food. I was worried whether I was doing things right, and if I might upset the customers. I didn’t know if I could handle it. In the end, I had help from fellow Key Club members who had experience at the pub night before. The customers were nice, and although we had some mishaps, they were very forgiving. I had so much fun meeting other helpers at the pub night and serving the customers, putting a smile on their faces. Overall, it was an amazing night.

CELINE DELEON, LINCOLN On Saturday, March 9th, our club volunteered at the Gospel Center Rescue Mission (GCRM) in Downtown Stockton. We were there to clean up their warehouse and play room at the New Hope Family Shelter. We rearranged the playroom area to provide sections for each age group: 0-3, 3-5, etc. We had a fun time cleaning up and reminiscing about old childhood toys! Besides doing maintenance work, we also got to learn more about the mission’s programs and clients. We watched a video about when and how the clients became homeless and exposed to their addictions. Seeing how GCRM has changed their lives for the better is a great reason why the city of Stockton should raise awareness for the homeless community. GCRM continues to be one of Stockton’s secret treasures. They give homeless people a second chance in life. Their staff makes sure that the people they help turn their lives around. This volunteer opportunity was an eye opening experience for all of the Lincoln Key Clubbers who participated. We learned to never take things for granted and to appreciate everything we have. We also learned to help organizations like GCRM because we have a lot to offer as young people and they need our support.
