LTG REMARKS
Grrrrrreetings Grizzlies! LTG Chris here and I cannot wait to start a brand new year of service, friendships, and memories! First, I’ll begin with introducing myself. I am a 16 year old junior at Middle College High School and am Filipino. In addition to Key Club, I love basketball, and I sometimes play video games. Action movies and shows are my favorite things to watch. And of course, I want to BEE your friend, so don’t ever hesitate to talk to me! Trust me, I don’t bite! As some of you may know, DCON 2014 has come and gone. It truly was a memorable experience for me. There’s not much I’d rather do than spend time with amazing Key Clubbers! I’m not going to lie, in the moment I was officially installed as your LTG, I shed a few tears. I realized that my dream had come true, and I would have the honor of serving all of you. I hope those that attended had a spectacular time, and I hope to see many of you there next year! On another note, we had a wonderful 2013-2014 year, am I right? We can all thank past LTG Demaree for her service and efforts she dedicated to us. In my past three years in Key Club, you all have been like a second family to me. With that being said, it is my turn to give back to you! I hope to help D27N increase service hours, raise even more for charities and Project Eliminate, and provide even more exciting Grizzly events. This journey is not just for me, but rather for each and every Grizzly in Division 27 North. Thus, let us begin the journey in making 2014-2015 the best year yet! With much love, LTG Chris Cabana

Carrie Huang | Stockton Early College Academy
GREETINGS, GRIZZLIES! In the month of March, the SECA Key Club was buzzing with service. We volunteered at two Science Olympiad competitions at UOP and McNair High School, the annual Chinese New Year Festival downtown, and the Bread of Life food distribution at Life Song Church. As usual, we enjoyed serving others while bonding together with our fellow Key Clubbers. Though not many Grizzlies were present at the March DCM, it was definitely a memorable last meeting – my members and I loved the group reflection we had at the end! Four Key Clubbers from SECA, including myself, will be attending District Convention 2014. It will definitely be a GOLDEN experience to end this GOLDEN year. This is my last club update, and I just want to say that it has been an absolute honor serving not only SECA Key Club, but Division 27 North as well. I look forward to the 2014-2015 Key Club term; let us reach even greater heights in service and spirit!
Justine do huynh | Bear Creek Hi guys! I hope you are all doing well. This month we have been making the final transition from our old council to our new council. It has really been a great year. This month we helped at the Hippology event at the World of Wonders Museum. Here we helped with different arts and craft stations that dealt with horses. We had fun helping the little kids. We also helped at the a festival at Julia Morgan. We helped run different booths and also helped handle the food. We also finished our last school beautification event at our school and our space turned out great. Lastly we went to the Pixie Woods event where we moved old dirt and an old house for the installation of new dirt/ bark and a new rabbit house.

This month we had at least two community service events. The first one was our monthly Bread of Life and the second one was the Port City Track Meet. Other than community service we had a Kiwanis Take Over during our break last month. We managed to raise nearly to 300 dollars. Our six DCON attendees are also excited for this coming weekend!
Greetings Grizzlies! We had elections back in February! Our incoming president is Anthony Huynh. Our two incoming vice presidents are Grace Lee and David Le. Our incoming secretary is Cyrus Shirvan. Our incoming treasurer is Isabel Acevedo, and our incoming publicity is Wendy Lee. Congratulations to them! On March 21st, we had International Night at our school. Our country was Vietnam and we sold eggrolls. On April 4th, we volunteered at the Health/Science Night at John R. Williams Elementary School. We helped out at the different stations at the event. On April 5th, we volunteered at the Children’s museum for Kiwanis One Day. We helped pull weeds around the outside area of the museum. On April 6th, we volunteered at the Earth Day festival. Some of us helped out at the “making origami” booth.

ANgie Molina | Tokay Hello Grizzlies for one final time! For this past month, we have had several events. On March 15, we helped out with the Bread for Life in Lodi. We put grocery bags together and passed them out to those who needed it. We also helped set up and clean up for the event. We also volunteered for the Bread for Life on April 19. On April 6, we volunteered at the Earth Day Festival in Stockton. We helped with set up and running some booths. Last, but definitely not least, we attended DCON! We all had an amazing time in Sacramento with key clubbers from all over California, Nevada, and Hawaii.
Emybeth Pascual| Ben Holt Last month in April, Benjamin Holt had its executive board attend its very first district convention in Sacramento! We also had our members attend the Pixie Woods Clean Up on April 12 while our officers attended, and have finished electing our new board for the 2014-2015 year. We wish all of you grizzlies a grrreat new term, and to continue our service for the next year!

Hello Grizzlies! It has gotten pretty warm lately, huh? Remember to stay cool and hydrated! This past month has been extremely busy. Although we haven’t been doing much service, we are still trying our best to keep everything on par with past months. We volunteered at the Bogg’s Tract Community Farm picking out weeds and fertilizing the soil. Despite this being our only event, members have still been volunteering outside on their own or with a group of their friends. As graduation for Seniors inches closer, we’re starting to finish some loose ties so Seniors could finish the year off strong. That’s basically it — have a magnificent day, everyone!
service articles Jemie Quero | MCHS | Emergency Food Bank On March 26, 2014, MCHS key clubbers volunteered at the Stockton Emergency food book. For the most part, we spent a lot of time unpacking and repacking boxes of cookies. The other half of the time we were outside under the bridge sorting and stacking all the different types of canned foods. While working, our board and board elect bonded and got to know each other a little more. We also took a bin of cabbages and started to put them into boxes. To make this even more fun, we made it into a game as we counted and threw around cabbages. Through our hard work, we got a lot done!
Stephanie Li | SECA | Bread of Life On March 15, SECA’s Key Clubbers volunteered for Bread of Life at Life Song Church. This was my fifth time going to this event, and each time has felt very rewarding. We helped put groceries in bags and helped transfer bags of groceries to people’s carts in an assembly line process. While volunteering at Bread of Life, I also met fellow Key Clubbers from other schools. Volunteering at Bread of Life has changed the way I looked at things and allowed me to interact with other volunteers of my community.
