It’s SPOOKY season Grizzlies ヘ(◕。◕ヘ)
FRN the past two years I experienced it (and I am happy to experience it one last time with you all). My first time ever attending was 2019 as a freshmen, pictures are at the button of the page, you are happy to screenshot for blackmail purposes. I attended with my home club friends that eventually became my officers. I wasn’t too big on rides so I had fun with some of my friends who loves the carnival, shopes, etc. When the spirit rally started, I was in immense shock seeing maybe Key Clubbers from different areas joining in. I never seen so many colors in my life!! Everyone was so enthusiastic at the moment, it filled me up with joy seeing how many people care about this organization. Something I would like to admit is that… I haven’t memorized all the cheers at the time! That’s why the spirit teams important!!!! Now, the cheers are chipped in my memory, there is no forgetting now. As for my junior year, I came out of my shell more, being on the DLT and meeting so many people from different divisions. This year I made so many new peers and I can’t wait to meet every one of you. I truly believe FRN was my key club moment, changing my perspective in Key Club to led me to this moment; writing a newsletter for my beloved D27N!
One of my top goals this summer is getting to know each Grizzly individually, creating bonds as much as possible. Although I won’t be super active as I was last term, I will still be at many Division events as possible. I always love meeting new people, so please if you see me around, give a quick wave. I promise I don’t bite. This is all the content I have about my personal life for today… and this month. For more of my personal content and getting to know me better, make sure to follow me on Instagram @stellamiiko! Do not be afraid to message me on any platforms, I promise I won’t bite, I just want to be a friend!!
I feel shivers down my spine… (sorry bad joke I guess). Happy Halloween <33 I hope all of this month is all TREATS and not too much tricks! There is a lot to look forward in October as there are many more ways to fundraise and show your spirit this Key Club Season. Read more to find out more!
Hello, D27N Grizzlies!
It’s your Mama Bear Lieutenant Governor Jamie Lynn Phan. I am so excited to be welcoming the fall season (the best time of the year). This time of year, you can find me ordering a typical venti Starbucks mocha, wearing my creased Timberlands, and celebrating my birthday this year at the end of October; I am excited to partake in the typical fall festivities.
October is going to be an extremely busy BUT fun month within Key Club. We are looking forward to the highly anticipated Fall Rally North (FRN)! I cannot wait to see D27N take on FRN so that we can celebrate our amazing accomplishments in fundraising for the Pediatric Trauma Program and serving our community. FRN is happening on Saturday, October 22nd @ Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Please be sure to reach out to your President for more details on how you can attend!
Although it has been difficult trying to balance my schoolwork and personal life with Key Club, I am always inspired to continue working harder when I see my Officers and Members committed to this Club. I appreciate all Officers who have been very supportive and transparent with me. You are truly a gem for taking on the responsibility of leading your Members in serving the community. Members, thank you for showing so much kindness and spirit within the Club. And of course, we could not exist without our Kiwanians and Faculty Advisor that help out behind the scenes in guiding our Members. YOU ALL are the reason I continue to stay strong and motivated for my duty as Lieutenant Governor.
I always give this reminder and I will give it again: you cannot take care of your responsibilities without first taking care of yourself. Caring for your health and being should be your #1 responsibility! I often forget this, so for my senior Key Clubbers worrying about college applications and post-graduation planning, (and anyone else who will have to power through October because of its hectic schedule), STAY STRONG. Bask in your greatness and be kind to yourself.
I’ll see you around, Grizzly. I can’t wait to accomplish new things and see our Division’s impact on the community for this October! Remember that you can always reach out to me ʕ •ᴥ•ʔゝ☆
