INTRODUCING the...
2015-2016 DIVISION Aloha Division 28 North Phoenixes! I am proud to serve you as your 2015-2016 Lieutenant Governor Phoenix Queen! I would firstly like to thank the division for rewarding me this opportunity to help every phoenix soar to new heights in not just the community, but within themselves. Secondly, I would like to thank those who actually read my lengthy informative emails I send out (probably meaning no one...) As Lieutenant Governor, I strive for the most stress-relieved, fun-filled and unforgettable year for everyone. I believe that with hard-work, dedication, and an open mind for learning, understanding, and acceptance our division can be better than ever to serve with spirit for the community. With that being said, I anticipate to show every member I meet why Key Club International is my second ohana. Thank you for your time, and for all that you do! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! Soaring to new heights,
Jazlynn Badua

LEADERSHIP TEAM! Hello there Key Clubbers! I am Tommy Gonzales, the Division 28 North Secretary! Once again we're all looking forward to another amazing year in Key Club. I hope you all are going to enjoy the summer, but still keep service in mind. There are plenty of places to volunteer, and plenty of time to do fundraisers and Sister Club activities. With summer break coming up that can also mean socials! it can help new members know what happens over the summer break that way they'll be more active. Are any of you officers (or your officers) planning on representing? Well I am positive the DLT is!

KIWANIS RECAP
APRIL KIWANIS MEETING Hello ladies and gentlemen, it's Anderson, and I'm here to talk about the Kiwanis meeting over spring break!!! I've attended many before, but this was a chance for your new board to introduce themselves to our Kiwanis Club . We sat down, talked with Clark, SECTA, and more! We ate while listening to Kiwanis news, and ended it all off with a picture with Clark and our Kiwanis advisor, Mr. Richards. The Kiwanis meetings serve as a great time to get to know about the other clubs in our Region as well as our local Kiwanis Club, which is the Kiwanis Club of the Las Vegas Strip. Kiwanis meetings are so important because we do go over a lot of information and we also get free food! In case you didn’t know, we all met at the Omelet House. As your president, it is important to know that going to these meetings have their benefits. In fact, they get you a step closer to getting recognized as a TRUE Key Clubber. All in all, it was a good time, and I hope one day all of you can experience this meeting. Have a good weekend!

BANQUET
D28N BANQUET DCM The Key Club banquet was definitely an exciting event to remember. I remember arriving at Veterans CTA and entering their cafeteria. Seeing the spirited and excited faces on both officers and members assured me that this was going to be a memorable event. After a brief introduction, we headed straight into business with club, member, and officer recognition. It was cool to see every club awarded for their accomplishments and efforts during the year, especially when it came to my home club. Being able to cheer for individual officers and members brought inspiration to me as a member due to the motivation it brings me to work harder next year. It really hypes you up for the upcoming key club year and allows members to set goals to accomplish. Personally, I would like to participate in more key club events and just approach Key Club from a more spirited and proud perspective. As the main event wrapped up, we were blessed with loads of food freshly prepared by advisors from the Division 28N Key Clubs (Thank you advisors!!!). After loading up on fried chicken, pizza, and salad, I was able to socialize with many members and officers of other clubs of Division 28N. I also had the opportunity to chat with our past lieutenant governor Rey Rey and meet the new lieutenant governor Jazlynn. It was sad to see Rey Rey step down, but so exciting to see how much we can accomplish with our new LTG. Overall, this event was truly a great experience for networking with members and officers from other Key Clubs and truly opened my eyes on what I can accomplish next year. I highly recommend members to attend this event if given the opportunity, especially since you get to socialize AND get delicious FOOD!

ECTA RECAP In the past month we had a couple of events. In March we had made posters to promote our club being at Buffalo Wild Wings for a fund raiser. A few weeks ago we volunteered to go to the Walk-forWishes Run. Lastly, yesterday we made posters to promote our club selling Kiss a Senior Goodbye grams. They are little cards that you can write a message and send it to a senior that will be graduating. They will also come with a small pouch of kisses chocolate.

SPOTLIGHT ON SERV.
Spotlight on Service May’s theme is...
Read more here!
“The CNH Spotlight on Service Program was created by the Service Projects Committee to promote International and District initiatives as well as to encourage active participation with organizations/initiatives. The Service Projects Committee will provide monthly guides that include tips and ideas on how clubs can complete the monthly service initiatives. Check out the monthly guides below to get some ideas for your club's service projects. The program also gives clubs the opportunity to showcase their unique service projects that positively impacts their home, school, and community. The Spotlight on Service Program would like to receive project submissions from the District to showcase projects from the previous month in the District Newsletter. Receive recognition and inspire someone with your creative project ideas. Clubs must submit their project through an electronic form. Here is the link for the Project Submission Form . This form is very easy to complete and is due by the 5th of each month for the previous month. (The deadline for September project submission is October 5th.) If you are planning on submitting pictures, please send them to cnhkc.sp@gmail.com. Please remember that we like action pictures of members doing service and not posing.” 9
DCON INFO MEETING
This informational meeting was after school in Ms. Norby's room the Friday before Spring Break. DCON is known as "District Convention" and this year, Daniel Lang was our only representative at our school to go. During this time from 2:30pm - 4:00pm, Daniel discussed his time and experience at DCON during the past 3 days he was there. Day 1 started off with him arriving in Sacramento, California. He described his arrival with, "good to be here". With that, he explained how there were a lot of people who attended from all over CNH. After seeing all these incredible people, all the clubs went to their assigned rooms, unpacked, and came back down for check-ins. Daniel checked in and after checking in, he attended a seminar that had 4 sessions including: delegates, "Celebrate! Family!, Presidents & Vice Presidents, and ", Member Recognition Declassified!". During this session, powerpoint presentations were shown to refresh what Key Club is and what Key Club does. Later, after the seminar ended, everyone attended a "general" meeting and clubs discussed what they have done and such. And to wrap up the day, all attendees attended dinner.
The very next day, all attendees woke up early and went down for breakfast. Daniel then told us that other members, along with himself, attended different types of presentations that were going on, workshops, etc. The presentations included Circle K, which is the College version of Key Club. They showed off their cheers what they have done to help the community. They talked about their experience in Circle K. Workshops varied depending on what a person's interest is so that gave people the freedom to hop around wherever they wanted depending on their liking. Daniel said "after a long day of running around from workshop to
workshop or presentations, it was finally time for dinner", which Daniel enjoyed with different Key Clubbers since Key Club is a very social club. After a great experience, Daniel headed home with these memories of his experience at the 2015 DCON experience along with all the things he had learned and thus bringing back all the amazing information that he shared after he came back at the DCON informational meeting.
