WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO JOIN KEY CLUB?
During my freshman year, a lot of my friends signed up for Key Club and I joined with them. I also saw a lot of upperclassmen posting about Key Club which intrigued the majority of freshmen to see what Key Club was all about. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF KEY CLUB?
My favorite aspect of Key Club is meeting people who share the same passion of helping the community. At service events and meetings, I usually meet incredibly interesting people and I end up having a lot in common with them. This has led me to make plenty of friends through Key Club due to the initial commonality of loving to give back. HOW HAVE YOU GROWN BECAUSE OF KEY CLUB?
I have grown for the better thanks to Key Club. Not only have my social skills developed tremendously due to leadership roles, but I’ve fostered a sense of enjoyment in giving back to my community. The feeling of fulfilment when participating in service events is a wonderful feeling that I will carry with me past my high school years. I would have never believed that community service is fun and enjoyable if I wasn’t in Key Club. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCE FROM KEY CLUB?
I think my favorite Key Club experience is running a booth at the Horse Heritage Festival. This is usually a joint event with Mission Hills, a school which I am much acquainted with. My best friends and I got to run a pumpkin decorating booth, which we get to help children with painting and accessorizing pumpkins — as well as making our own!

JENNIFER LE SENIOR ORANGE GLEN JOINED FRESHMAN YR
WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO JOIN KEY CLUB?
I heard about Key Club in eighth grade from a member who talked about how Key Club gives the opportunity for teenagers to make a difference (through cleanups, senior center activities, etc). That really intrigued me because I knew I wanted to give back to my community and I believed Key Club would help me achieve that goal. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF KEY CLUB?
My favorite aspect of Key Club would have to be that there’s no limit to how much service and good you can bring into the community, or even world. Key Club is a community where many different groups of teenagers can come together and be able to create a positive impact little by little. You never have to even worry about doing too much for the community. There will always be many new opportunities to spread joy and leave a lasting impact everywhere when Key Club is involved. HOW HAVE YOU GROWN BECAUSE OF KEY CLUB?
I really mean it when I say that I wouldn’t be where I am now or be the person that I am now if I had not joined Key Club. Before my freshman year, I was shy and didn’t know what Key Club had in store for me, but fast forward to senior year and ’ve had the honor to serve one of the best clubs and divisions ever. Key Club shaped me to be someone who understands others, grows from others, and tries to step out of their comfort zone. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCE FROM KEY CLUB?
I can’t pick one Key Club moment because everything has been so memorable. Although, I especially cherish events that involve our Kiwanis!
